  1. Ba xr8 boss 260. Just wondering if anyone can confirm that one pin on the cam sensor should be supplying 5 volts with KOEO. This is the info I have been given when testing the sensor but I have checked at the ecu as well and still no 5 volts there either. Tried swapping ecu just in case and getting the same result.
  2. Nice, I got it ghost cam but it upset a couple of other things so just need to work through it
  3. Is that table available with the ba? I didn't see it when looking before but then i may have missed it
  4. I see that we can get a ghost cam with the 5.0 now but is there a way to achieve this with a Ba 5.4, been going to play with mine to give it a go but just wondering where to start looking and now I have a potential customer wanting it as well.
  5. Yeah those are the stock settings looking at where to change them too
  6. Thanks for that Roland. I see that you changed cylair max factor to 1.0 to achieve 1.7 airload capping for 10psi. I am looking at about 18 to 20 psi what to you think I should change cylair max factor to for this. Or is their a calculator to work this out. I believe 1.1 would be in the ballpark but I could be wrong. Thanks for all your help again.
  7. When I bought my xspurts it didn't come with any info but I just emailed the company I bought it from and they emailed me the data sheet.
  8. Ok so it played again this arvo while i was out, so i checked coolant temp and it was sitting 83 degrees.
  9. ok thanks roland will give it a try
  10. Hi guys, hoping you can help me out here. Its one of those problems that's hard to nail down, as I only get a short time to try stuff and it doesn't always happen. When I try to restart my ba xr8 after driving it for a while all it does is wind over and won't fire. The only way I can then get it to start is to force start it on lpg. This only happens if I try to restart it within about 10 mins of turning it off, but it will restart fine if its only a short trip. At first I was suspecting my aftermarket fpr may of being getting heat soak and affecting fuel pressure but I checked that today and fuel pressure is fine. I was then starting to suspect heat soak in my billet fuel rails causing it to vaporize and they were pretty hot to the touch, so I tried cycling the fuel pump to cool them to see if that would resolve the issue but no such luck. The reason I believe its fuel related is that it will start on lpg after a few winds. The next thing I'm thinking could be an issue is vapour lock at the injectors but I'm not sure how to check that. Fuel trims all look good, within 3%, so any ideas would be a great help. Thanks Scotty
  11. Hi Roland just wondering if you could explain what the number in cylair max factor is doing. Thanks scottu
  12. Will give that a look too. Gonna double check injectors, but I suspect I have a weak coil as well so I will change those first and then double check every thing else. Scotty
  13. I have stage 1 crow cams and my idle vac is 15 to 17 inhg
  14. The problems are slowing too return to idle and hunting at idle. I will get a datalog in the next couple of days and post it for you. Manifold size maybe an issue as well as it has a 302 manifold on it and I am unsure of it's size. The bypass shouldn't be causing an issue as it's either open or closed. That's the information I have been given by the supplier anyway. Thanks Scotty
  15. Idle, return to idle are the things I am mostly unhappy with. I did have injector issues but they are dialed in pretty well now. I have got an adjustable fuel pressure reg and gauge and it's sitting on 4 bar. I am thinking it's probably more air flow issues that are giving me dramas esp with the size of the tb and the boost from the side mount.
  16. Just wanting to pick the brains of the tuners on here as to what they would be looking at tune wise for my car. It's a built boss 260 with a side mount charger, 6 spd manual, bigger throttlebody, 1000cc injectors, bigger fuel system etc. I have a tune in it that I have written and some of that tune came from a shop who tuned it previously and then I modified it in places as I wasn't happy with it and I also changed from auto to manual and changed charger brands. I am still not completely happy with and feel like I am missing something, so I was just wondering what people's thoughts were and the things they would be starting with. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any help. Scotty

    tactrix problems

Thanks Roland I will have a read of that post. No it's not locked, the pcm is from my sedan and was tuned by a large shop in Melb when I had the vortech supercharger in it. When i transferred the engine into my ute I used the same tune and have been trying to fine tune it with sct since.

    tactrix problems

it says it has a DTC permanent checksum error, which may make the vehicle undrivable. I have always had an error code come when i have scanned it and I always put it down to the aftermarket tune in the car, but maybe I am wrong.

    tactrix problems

Woohoo success! It wasnt the cable it was the usb port in my laptop, all good now though. On a side note i have just read the file in my car and it is telling me i have a checksum error. Any thoughts? Thanks for all the help and advice. Scotty

    tactrix problems

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it was a failure before I emailed you, I understand these things can happen if it is a faulty cable.
