Thanks finnigan I will give it a go tommorow and if its a no go then I will hit them up and see what they say.
-
Yeah I have a territory I can try tomorrow, so I will give that a go and see what happens.
-
Yeah I tried and same result, the laptop is seeing the cable but no response from the com.
-
The wiring hasn't been touched Roland as I built the car and was tuning it with sct prior to this. I bought the cable from ti performance and it cost $300 with postage.
-
Lol yeah I have that, it's what I tried on the other car. I have access to a territory tomorrow that I will try to rule out my car being the problem. Thanks for trying to help Finnegan.
-
Hope it genuine for the price I paid lol. But seriously they are a well known Aussie company so I think it is. As for the drivers I double checked they were installed and pcmtec is saying that it can see it as a j2354. I am lost too if it's not faulty.

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with their tactrix adaptor. It wouldn't connect to my ba xr8 and I thought it was a probem with my obd port but my blue tooth adaptor and my sct hand controller both connect fine. The error message I get through pcmtec when I try to read the vehicle is that it can see the cable but isn't receiving from the pcm. I then trie using it with my scanning software in the wifes kia and it is doing the same thing, it can see the j2354 but isn't seeing feedback from the pcm. Any help would be appreciated thanks Scott

Air load capping at 1.05 in NA + Turbo/Supercharger
scotty replied to Roland@pcmtec's topic in Engine Tuning (AUS)
Yes Romulus I have turbo logic enabled. I am running a f1a procharger side mount super charger. I am using a3za which is a ba gt file and adapting it. I couldn't find a reference to air charge logic in the ba tunes that's why I was asking. Thanks scotty -
Air load capping at 1.05 in NA + Turbo/Supercharger

Does the ba boss 260 have this function available in the tune as well -
I have some other wheels to try. Thought about a vibration or harmonic as well on a plug. Yes they are 45 profile but being a Ute helps them to fit. I got them at a very, very good price lol.
-
No the size is correct. They are only 7% diff which I ran on my sedan for a long time with no issues. Scotty
-
Yes I do Roland 245/40/19 front and 275/45/19 on the rear. It is at about 110 kays but only cruising along
-
Keep getting this error come up once I cruise over 100kph for a min or two. It is a can communication error, and it throws the ABS and traction control lights. it never happens under 100 or if I boot it over 100 and drop back. I have checked earths etc and I believe it may be linked to my speed signal/tire size input. I have altered the min/max tyre size in the vid block which stopped it from happening as soon as i hit 100 but I think I must be missing something else. Anyone come across this before, needs some ideas as I am scratching my head. Car is a Ba xr8 ute if that helps. Thanks Scotty

Oops Sorry Roland I was fine tuning the speed density maps and of course I wondering if you leave those figures as is or match the next column cos the car won't idle at 250rpm lol

PCMTEC Editor Version 0.75 Release Notes - Major Update
scotty replied to Roland@pcmtec's topic in News
Yes I am. I have a procharged manual ba xr8 ute with lots of mods including thinking its a sedan (long story but we wanted to be able to use the traction control and other bits from the sedan) and I am going down the e85 route soon. I am about to have lots of fun and do some speed density tuning lol. -
PCMTEC Editor Version 0.75 Release Notes - Major Update
scotty replied to Roland@pcmtec's topic in News
Hi Roland I checked the bottom of my spare v8 ecu and there are no pins for the c connector only a blank. The others I thought of was in a manual to use the trans temp or and I haven't looked to see if the plug is there yet, but the right bank cam position sensor. Thanks for the answer anyway. Thanks Scott -
Can i use a SCTx4 to connect instead of the J2534 cable?

PCMTEC Editor Version 0.75 Release Notes - Major Update

Just reading through the updates and I noticed with the ball flex fuel that you are using the boost sensor input. I was wondering if there is a solution for the v8's as they don't have the boost sensor input? The updates look awesome and the software is just out of this world compared to the competitors. Thanks Scotty -
No overlap but going to do some data logging tomorrow to see if I can see what's happening. Thanks scotty

A walbro 520 as the primary pump and an adjustable fuel pressure reg. I used the injector dynamics spread sheet to obtain the scalers for my pressure, they were a little off, but I found the right setting but it seems to run smoother when it is slightly richer. Not sure if it's a spark issue or the cams (stage 1 crow) throwing it off. It's a boss 260 if that helps. Thanks for the help
