  1. Anyone have good luck with xspurt 1000cc injectors (full length with uscar connecter)

Using them on a BF XR6T manual

I have dialed them in...just wondering what values you guys have used for injector data in pcmtec?

    Thanks

  2. Yeah, I agree also with increased line pressure is the first measure for survivability. I also upped the line pressure on my tune to 17 bar and tapered off on 5-6 gears. I believe it's the right thing to do also (line pressure) as legacy trannies (HiPo C4's,C10's..ect) have this modification done on their valve body or valve pump to help with survivability but of course driving comfort is lost.

    FYI, you may know already - HACH4A5 / 87AA is the F6X

Keep us posted if anything stands outs within the manual..

  3. Hi Puff,

I have been playing with variant parameters with the ZF on a TT and i find there is limitations along with the physical car with which doesn't help too.

    Your question:

I guess what I'm asking is, am I pushing shit uphill at this power level with a stock trans?! Yes, with what power you are running! lol

Have you run a comparison value with the F6X trans parameters as a starting point to work with as a base.

    here is an example between HACH3 (TT)and HACH4 (F6x)

    HACH3 (TT)Strategy: 6R79-7J105-BD

    HACH4 (F6x)Startegy:8R79-7J105-AA

Below are the variants between both.

Overall I'm sure you are a proficient tuner.. Be interesting what the user manual references too to help with survivability with the ZF on high power demands.

  4. Hi Brother Ali,

I assume no errors prior to Tyre/rim change?

    Did you check DTC errors?

Did you review the VID block values on your mates cars to see what has been used for Tyre size?

Try and disable VID , flash car and then check to see if it appears? if it doesn't you will need configure tyre size ratio from memory, I'm not in front the PCM tech editor.

  5. HI,

Thanks for the reply, as to your question.

440 is tiny why are you running them?

    Car came with them.

Why not just scale them yourself using a scatterplot?

i personally have not attempted this yet. Can you assist with pointers to perform this?

    regards

  6. Hi,

Has anyone used bosch 440cc in their tunes? I have a base values, just want to see if i can fine tune them with the correct data.

below is what has been set.

Just hoping to find information for the 0280 155968 green top injectors @ 4 bar rather than 39.15 PSID.

Seems to be challenging to locate this information on the net even in the HP tuners forums.

  7. Thanks brother for the reply, yes that's an idea to consider. I have a scope to test with. I have 6 coils to test under load..I may just swap one at a time to see if it's one or a few.. irrespective simple option replace all of them again.

    Thank you for your input.

  8. Greetings,

I have a 06 Nov build Territory Turbo Ghia, with an issue prior. I diagnosed being the coils, of which the car under load will just breakdown in high RPM and trans will make a big bang , dash lights come up and speedo will stop working, once dash lights disappear after a split second (ABS, DSC, Traction control) car will operate again as normal, but no speedo..no DTC errors appear also. I have chased this issue down to being coils...once changed all working well.

Other day I gave the car a boot full, back fired at high rpm between gear changed and started to miss. Thought I hurt the motor, but cylinder 6 coil failed. I replaced and off we go again with no issues.. gave it a boot full again and the phenomenon of trans banging and losing speedo appeared..So I suspect another coil is playing up.. if you drive car under normal load..all fine..moment you lean on it, reappears.. spark plugs are checked and gapped to .7

question...is there a way to load test the coils? Or what is the underlying issue if anyone seen such problem?

I know how to address, just replace all coils, but I want to trouble shoot which one and what's causing this..I suspect a high current or Spike in voltage causing this... Original set was factory, second set was old non genuine laying around..I replaced cylinder six with a genuine.

    Regards

  9. Hello team,

When I have VID block enabled, the DSC and Abs light up. So I suspected the strategy aligns with certain ABS calibration/ responses with the PCM/TCM.

This worked with FGX sprint, FG F6 OS on a FG XR6T MK2, along with F6X OS and TCM strategy on territory turbo.

Disabling the ViD block scalars, does affect anything to the tune?

Can't post up my tune just now but if you look back to my boost control sanity check thread I have my tune there. Mine has the raceworks injectors also. Not sure which part number, I'll pop out tomorrow and have a look for you. Not overly happy with the data but it's good enough to run on 98 and e85 in winter without dramas and no rapeing of the fuel tables. Open loop WOT (high slope) is on point for both fuels which is good. Low slope and break point aren't right. Close enough though not to warrant the time.

I spent extra $ on my VF LSA injectors when converting to e85 after been disappointed with the raceworks data. I bought a 8x set of DW1200's from Harrop. Their data is spot on. Very impressed. To illustrate, I already had my VF LSA 98 tune perfect at 0.8 lambda on the factory variable fuel pressure system. I upgraded to twin pumps, injectors, mechanical boost referenced reg and flex fuel sensor. I dropped in their injector data and had it sorted in 2 road pulls. I would not hesitate to buy them for my falcon if the time arises (presuming they're even available for a falcon lol). Good data saves so much time when you're tuning at home. Different if you're a workshop and can spend quiet days or weekends to get away from the pressures of family on your dyno testing and creating good data for cheap injectors to use on every customers car. Food for thought is all.

    Hi HJ Turbo,

Did you manage to find out what race works injectors you have in your FG?

@ Jakka, thanks for the information, ill keep this in mind

    regards

  11. Thanks HJtrbo for the informative post. I agree good data helps dramatic especially home grown tuners who don't have glorified workshops.. I'll have a look at your tec file for such injector data. I pretty much spent alot of time reviewing and modifying such data on hand for the INJ-154, just wanting to ensure I have them set correctly.

Yeah,I understand why such tuners push their recommended injectors and tune files, simplify and mitigate unique tuning environment that eat up time..

    Thanks in Advance

  12. Hi Team,

Hoping someone who would have the injector data for the Race works INJ-154 (1000CC) injectors. there seems to be only injector dead time available.

The INJ-501 seem to the drop in replacement but the dead times between both injector vary. I have made contact with Race works but they seem not to have specific information in hand.

INJ-501 Play & Play Data below.

Overall I have them dialed in, everything seems to behave fine, just wanting to fine tune if there is need based on the plug & play calibration details.

    Details used as per below

  13. @ Daryl, can you confirm what value should be used in boost Sensor Volts Max Value.

I have seen values of 5v , 16, 4.9 volts and stock 4.2v on variant cars.

If the voltage is increased this will stop the T-map pegging of the p0236 error? Reason i say i have seen a car with dump replaced and on heavy pedal; FG Turbo will go into limp mode and  p0236 appears AUF0511 was default value 4.2.

I've seen  tunes of which p0236 is Mil is disabled which is not ideal

@ Will I have seen coil packs stuff with transmission shifting's and no error logs appear on scan tool or IDS, once change coil packs the trans shifted perfect. the car owner before me swapped the trans out as requested by his mechanic and still fault, he decided to sell the car due to frustrations and money pumped into the car. I fixed it with coil pack replacement. So yes Coil packs can do weird things.

  14. I still tune carbie cars and have a few my own! If you believe they will be around, yes but the cost to drive these cars, especially high powered and non fuel efficient cars will be enormous in years to come especially with global aiming for zero emissions in 2050 or earlier!, this will force us middle and lower class guys to revert or park them up and take them out, just like wearing a rolex to main events!

Around the world, governments are driving the shift away from fossil fuel cars to electric cars, we all know this and hate them for it at times. (love driving my 351 clevo)..
In 2021, electric car sales doubled from the previous year to ~7 million, which makes up ~10% and climbing rapidly of the market. China is the dominant and always the for front leaders. This can be seen with  USA owes China  ~990 billion dollars and climbing.. Why? To keep the US dollar pegged with the Yuan china currency and being the leaders; innovators along with controlling currency and the rest of the things they control!

Just curious how did you guys go with 98 hitting $2.65 per ltr..? i started driving the Toyo Corolla 1.8.

Tried e85 in the falcon that went from 1.85 to 2.20 and burning efficiency per km is 30% more than pump. And that's 2022, lets see in years to come..!!

@ Whiteford I'm looking for laborer's at my job site, I'll hire you to lay some flooring down and rubbish removal ..lol.. 🙂

Lets be honest Dubai trending to tourism and housing middle eastern crime boss's as a safe haven, the crude oil will be a thing of the past some day for such oil rich countries

Challenging times ahead boys for everyone!!

    All the best

I'd imagine there's going to be a lot more people who can clone TCM's as soon as they find the old jaguar website & YouTube video showing how it's done.

Yeah I agree, these days the net is more than just porn ..lol..

I was in touch with a Russian developer  Oleg a while ago who created  modules to read the ZF's, gone of the days off reading the MLB flash. The games changing especially with the 30 min turn around tunes from overseas calibrators by purchasing credits.

Next wave Will be interesting with tuning electric powered cars  becoming the norm! I used to race remote control electric RC cars back in the days... looks like they are over grown and road driven now!

Start saying goodbye to fossil fuel, time to convert a falcons to electric!

  16. I'm yet to start looking into this. cloning the Mech is simple now, i can swap between jag and Ford 🙂

I would confirm the exploded diagrams as a starting point between both trans.
