cheers mate, do you know what kind of cost there is to upgrade the os if i got a BF tcm? trying to find a FG zf is hard atm lol

hay guys i have a 2009 ford falcon FG xr6 turbo with the 6 speed auto zf, had the trans cooler fail and the gearbox milkshaked, have got it all flushed out, the torque converter is starting to play up, the work shop said its going to fail and he reckons the gearbox will follow ( atm its fine changes gears etc good ) plan is to swap out the gearbox now before it craps outs have found a 2nd hand gearbox from a BF xr6 turbo, i understand they are the same, would we need to swap out the BF tcm and replace it with the TCM from my FG box? sorry but reading up on the net, some people say you don't need to swap it out and some people say you do? thank you for your time
