  1. Do you have a turbo or non turbo engine harness
  2. I followed the guide above but then changed the time and amount the rpm can rise above the set limit
  3. roland its bill, thats my car using an fg ecu and pcmtec only it is spark retard tho yes, not full spark cut.
  4. for anyone wondering in future, all ba and bf ecu accept vss in on b7 with source as oss and vid disabled. they also accept ac sine wave on this input without a module to convert it.
  5. the vcx can do some things like abs modules and what not, it doesnt like changing the ecu strategies. ive used it to do similar things on my fg.
  6. the ecu will actually accept a vr style sine wave input from a wheel speed sensor on b7, you just change the pulse/rev to suit the different tone wheel. some abs systems will throw a code and disable when piggybacking off an existing sensor which is something to keep in mind.
  7. ive done plenty of barra swaps and sohc stuff off the barra ecu, v8 is something people have been asking about here and there but we wanted to sort the cam trigger stuff first to make full use of the ecu. appreciate your addition to all this, in one section of the manual it states 3v and 4v both have vct and the same timing setup, i didnt even catch on to it being incorrect. just need to add the TDC offset and i think it will be pretty usable on random swaps for a bit of fun.
  8. yeah all good, i'll just leave the box to be controlled by the au ecu. its just a 2nd daily so not after anything super. with the crank sensor andf tps signals spliced it wont know any different
  9. the boss strat would probly be a better starting point regardless, but you could also get away with just changing the CID config
  10. where did you see it in the manual?
  11. ahh true! i didnt even think of checking the manual to verify, i was just going off pics but may not have been correct. if thats the case the same settings should be able to be used in a 6cyl cal!
  12. icc and him wont be required for pats but the cluster will be. if you're not planning to use the cluster you'll have to disable pats.
