im still playing around with it, so will keep updating. this is NOT ok for the motor what so ever! 20231013_160130.mp4
-
now do NOT go this hard with the neg spark haha this was me being a dick head and playing, ill post a vid of how it sounds
-
I had a play and found massive improvements by playing with the RPM axis on the spark tables up where you want the hard cut to happen.

thanks for the reply bill, This ute has had the turbo ECU and loom installed, We have managed to get the old ORI N/A ECU off the bloke that purchased it so I can read it, I should be able to copy just the VIN over?, the turbo ECU is out of a ZF6 turbo FG mk1 and is going into a ZF6 auto FGmk1 N/A car with a built turbo engine

I got a bit more info out of the customer because I noticed this ECU has the same VIN as the last ute I just tuned for him..... he has another turbo fg, he thought the ECU in that was dead so he replaced it, turns out the ECU was not the problem so he has 2 turbo ECUs with the same VIN and iv got one here that I gotta make work in this N/A turbo converted ute 🤦♂️
-
I have a customer that has dropped his fg off to me... his done exactly what Nathan has done but he sold the old ECU so now I'm stuck with a turbo ECU in this N/A ute and its got the wrong VIN and everything..... anyone got some insight on how I go around programming this turbo ECU to the car lol

Finally got this supercharged BF GT on the dyno and just playing around with fueling and noticed when data logging I can see the MAP reading go above 101KPA but when i datalog/trace the slope of MAP table it will only trace the "0 KPA" load points... Am I missing something here? lol, I have used the custom OS for increased res on the slop tables and changed it from cam to MAP as load. excuse the mess of a table haha.

HOWTO: Ghost Cam and VCT simplification
brenden replied to Roland@pcmtec's topic in Falcon HOWTO Guides
Hi guys, is there anyone out there willing to throw some light on doing ghost cams on the V8 Mustangs? -
Hi peep's, iv got this 2012 FG MK2 ecoboost falcon in for some diagnostic's and found 2 DTC's - P2229 - Barometric Pressure Sensor A Circuit High - P2230 - Barometric Pressure Sensor A Circuit Intermittent/Erratic From what I can see this sensor is built into the PCM ?? is anyone able to confirm this or seen this issue before ? Photo attached of the ECU below. Cheer's !!
-
just wanna thank you Roland to, you didn't have waste your time back and forth, we really appreciate it ! keep up the great work, your a legend side note, can you guys add a "diagnostic's" part to the forums ? stuff like this may help a lot of people in my situation, someone may have an idea that may help or seen the problem before.

so we fixed it!!! we replaced the brand new FOMOCO perfectly testing throttle body and fixed!!!! i tested both the one that was on it and the new one and there identical.... its got me stuffed hahaha electrically there identical
-
start up with and with out throttle .MOV playing with throttle plate.MOV ba xr8 data log with no throttle on start up.teclog ba xr8 data log with throttle on start up.teclog
-
Its' not ideal but i just hit the hole engine bay with our fire hose while it was idling and made no difference, I'm pretty sure if there was a leak we would of found it then. I'm gonna burn this thing hahaha
-
We have replaced all VAC lines, blocked the brake booster (incase of an internal leak), new PCV, when we had the manifold and everything off we inspected it for crack's though none found, if there is a leak me or 2 of my other tec's can not find it lol. I'm sitting here with a mate from another work shop and beer's of cause (5:30pm) lol going through all we have done and getting a 2nd set of eyes to go over it and see if he comes up with something. as I said we have run out of idea's and have nothing more to test electrically or mechanically that we can think of.
-
yeah we did the smoke test twice, once with it open and again with it shut, its running around 17 in/HG manifold vac at the idle its running (900rpm or so). BA XR8 ENGINE DATA LOG RUNNING TEMP.teclog
-
yeah that was a 1st start up for the day, ill get it to temp and relog. If there is an air/vac leak.... its got us stuffed where it is as we smoke tested it this morning after resealing the intake and can not find anything
-
also the MAP is reading 99-101 KPA with KOEO witch is spot on for where we are
-
Iv replace all intake seals from the head's to the throttle body. iv attached a log below. We don't no what or where to go from here, everything seems to be testing ok both sensor's and wiring. thank you for your help and time ! BA XR8 ENGINE DATA LOG.teclog
-
iv got the intake manifold off it and looks like it may have blown a seal.. once its back together ill log it with PCMtec
-
ba xr8.fsl here's a log from forscan
-
another thing we found is if we remove the MAP sensor from the manifold and block the hole for it its doesn't fail......... everything is testing like it should with our scope and we have replaced it just incase
-
Love your work roland! cheers! ill have a look and see what I can do, I'm not 100% convinced it is the file on the car but we are running out of ideas and tests to do as everything is testing ok haha
