It's easy to redline it in M

Hi, just wondering about Ver. 1.24, does it include map tracing?
I've seen reference to it but haven't been able to find it in the Datalogger or am I on the wrong track?
Thanks

Cheaper than an xcal or ngauge. Plus you can change the tune with the engine running instead of waiting 5 minutes.
Different boost levels, launch control and all sorts are possible. There is no other product that can do this.
Oh yes, i do see that
I just wonder if it's worth it for an NA?

Yeah, so that's what, $500 or so?
Wow

Cool video of the ghost cam and multi tune selection
Looks to work well, doesn't it cost quite a bit to do this though?
How many credits does it require?
Thanks

Update. The PCMTec will data log the transmission shift patterns. There are several PID's you can select, I believe H8405 will data log the actual shift pattern the transmission is operating in. The TCM uses many patterns during driving, depending on normal or sports mode, partial or full throttle, sports mode or other driving characteristics. I noted around a dozen different shift patterns logged during a recent logging session.
It's been very useful having this data logging capability to enable the correct patterns to be adjusted as required.
Allllright, that's interesting

What was the outcome of this problem?
Anyone know?

That sounds good, that will make it easier.
Is there a guide of some sort available for the data logger, there are some things I don't understand?
-
Oh good grief, I searched with different combinations etc and didn't find it
Thanks mate lol
-
Well I tried TPS, would that find it?
-
Sorry if this question exists already I couldn't find it.
I need to log the tps volts, will PCMTech logger do it and what channel is it please?
Thanks, Steve

This actually was disabled/removed as people were doing it accidentally causing them a lot of grief. The easiest way now is to press shift, then click the top and bottom of the items you want to delete. Right click and press "Scalar Delete".
You can also use the control key if you want to delete just one or two items from different parts of the list.
Oh ok, thankyou for explaining that👍

You can uncheck the parent tree item to untick all items at once within it. You can also right click and press remove per scalar.
This doesn't work for me, any ideas?
I have the ver 1.22

I take it that you can't turn the sensor off?
-
Yep, took the words right out of my mouth lol
I did some (educated) guessing with my FG n/a and whilst it still needs tweeking it feels pretty good on the road, I recon there's more in it.
I don't know if this is normal but at around 140kph, it kicked back to 4th when I pressed the pedal to the floor, the front lifted and it just took off, scared me half to death lol, so I backed off
No time to check the afr gauge so don't know what it read, but I do have it going at touch richer

What about changing the fuel table, if you haven't done so yet?

There is no IMRC installed on the turbo models as it restricts airflow. It's only useful in an NA engine to increase air velocity.
Yes, i understand that, my question is, is it meant to be set to zero or one?
Thanks

Hi, I've come back to the subject of Speed Density again to study it some more and have a question regarding the IMRC.
I have discovered that the switch/s are auF0013 = "0" and auF0012 is also "0".
I take it this means "off"
The car is the XR6 N/A with a CAI
Also, in my limited understanding of Speed Density tuning, wouldn't it be better to have the IMRC operational?
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Need some help on the same issue, any help would be appreciated
If you just return the directory back to default, like it was just installed by creating a backup folder for example, move your data files etc to that folder then close the program down and reopen it, it should have all the channels again, you may have to connect to the car with ignition on so it can read from it

Ok, so are you saying that I should connect it to the car and this will enable me to get the channels back?
Well I managed to get all the channels back again by removing the saved layout from the directory so the program had to load the default which was everything
Bingo!!

Hi Steve
When you first opened the data logger, it loaded the last opened/saved file and it had the "Save Log layout" menu available at this time. Saving layouts should only be shown when connected to the vehicle, so this has been rectified for the next release

Hi, well I checked the Speed Density channel/s to test if it saves it.
It did save the layout and I did have it connected to the car as well, if this made a difference I don't know..
So. that worked strange how it didn't before.
I uploaded a log too
Cheers
Steve
Also, the logging program always loads the same layout, how can I get all the channels back again?

Thanks, we will look into it on Monday. Can you try setting up the layout and re-saving in the mean time.

Would it be idleing rich because of the cam, then the long term or short term take over as it warms up?
