MustangKev8766
Hey everyone, my name is Kevin and I hoping and would be extremely grateful for any help or advice with an issue I am having. I am having an issue controlling the burble logic. I'll be honest I was using a competitors software before ( hp tuners) I seen how awesome and how much more advanced PCMTEC is and I was able to get in working in their software and verify it in logs, I was able to modify the Arming RPM and lengthen the duration and the logic followed all my changes perfectly. In PCMTEC, I was able to get the burble logic working...not verified in log...by using the exact same numbers as in the other software by cross referencing the numbers with PCMTEC as they use oem Ford numbers. There are 3 differences between the other software and PCMTEC in terms of burble lodgic. In PCMTEC the is: auF56508 BurbleAct Switch (will not work without enabling this) auF56507 Debug cal for burble active flag (Also will not work without enabling this either) auF56605 Pedal level to detect burble is armed. (This is set in the background in the other software and now explains why I always had to push the pedal 40% to activate). But the burbles are happening as soon as I let off the pedal. My problem is that I can only get the burbles to work if I enable BurbleAct Switch and enable Debug Cal for burble active flag. But what then happens is the burbles are active as soon as I let off the pedal. They do not follow the RPM arimg parameters or the pedal % parameters or the duration but it does follow the Spark tr_clip used for Normal and Sport mode. Verified by changing these numbers and the intensity of burbles changes with it. I tried setting everything back to the factory settings and just enabling the burbles bur the same thing happens, they start instantly when letting off the pedal at any RPM. The weird thing is the minimum value for the burbles is 1000 rpm and they do stop at that rpm.... but follow no other pedal or RPM parameters...so weird. The tune is the exact same tune that I used in the competitor's software and the only changes I have made are to keep the active exhaust open all the time and these changes to the burble settings. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thank you for creating this amazing software! Cheers!! Kevin Matheson Here is a picture of the burble settings I found in PCMTEC as well as a picture of the settings I was using in hp tuners. Thanks again!! MustangKev8766
Hey Everyone!!! I just wanted to update everyone that I got it working by doing what Bill suggested in the PCMTEC editor forum and did a read of the HP Tuners tune, with the known working Burble Logic, using PCMTEC editor and then did a comparison with the a Bullit Mustang tune from the Tricore calibration list of tunes. There were 3 additional burble settings for the Bullit that I found when doing a comparison of only the differences between the 2 tunes. They are auF61210, auF61211 and auF61212. They are for Lambda during burble and I used those settings on my tune as well. The burble logic works perfectly. I set the Arming RPM at 2000rpm and the pedal% to activate at 20% and it burbles every time those parameters are met. And for those looking for a nice burble between shifts, this will give you that as well by adjusting the pedal % to activate down from the factory 40% mine was at. I have it set where I get burbles when the pedal is pressed in 20% or more, above 2000rpm and released at a rate of -1% per second which is perfect. I also rescaled the Spark tr_clip for Normal and Sport and intensified the burbles from 2500 to 5000 using 0.05 to get a nice shift burble as the pressing the clutch or brake doesn't stop the burbles once they start. I then used 0.12 for the rest of the RPM ranges to get more subtle and tasteful burbles. There are 2 things that stop them 1.) Press the gas obviously. This resets the whole process. 2.) Hitting your minimum RPM for burbles to stay active. I set mine at 1000rpm so no real issue there. Get nice burbles when coming down through gears off the highway. If anyone had any questions please ask. I can help walk you through the process. Cheers!
