Bigted73 Posted October 27 Share Posted October 27 Lots of awesome info wife has finally caved and have bought a Mk1 FG G6, had been swayed towards an eboost but after reading I think future proof with customOS a turbo ECU is the best idea. Without getting a whole engine bay harness a Hootens Harness patch loom for wastegate and oil temp or wiring diagram and correct PCM plug. The Mk1 is the PCM that requires the operating system to be converted. How will that effect the ZF controller, I have DIY One Car Workshop Edition. Bill Posted October 27 Share Posted October 27 (edited) The APS-234 FG turbo PCM's are getting hard to find but if you're lucky, Brett Hogno at Custom Machine Works will still have some in stock. FG1-FGX manual & auto all use the APS-234, so it won't matter if it's come from a FG1, FG2 or FG-X turbo because you'll be reprogramming it to suit before licencing. He may also have an engine loom if you want to use a factory loom. Brett is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to conversions, so chat to him about what strategy he would suggest or has had success with.
