Possibility of utillising a pcm as standalone BTR controller

Recommended Posts

Hi guys - There’s a lot of smart cookies on this site. Thought I’d ask if there is a possibility of using PCMtec to mod a ba ecu purely run a btr trans (without running the engine)

bit of background to the question

i have a 351w (adaptronic ecu) with btr behind it and currently I use a EB V8 tcu to control it. Works ok but I can’t modify shift points etc. This uses all factory EB tps, range switch, tail housing speed sensor etc

am I dreaming that this could even be possible on ba ecu without a custom os?

thoughts are

hack up ba loom for what is needed
TPS - use ba pedal (under dash with cable hooked to stock pedal)

vss- as per non abs

range switch - as stock

turn off and torque limits

emulate rpm somehow

fit coolant temp sensor for pcu
