    • auF0061:  This is the Slope of MAP per AirCharge value used in the speed density calculation

    Hey Guys

Is there any scenario you can think of where auF0056 would need to be altered, or is auF0061 usually the go to for mixture adjustments? (Standard injectors)

    Thanks Rob

  2. Hey Guys

When the inlet cam is reading zero degrees, is this the point when the valve begins to open when the engine is bang on TDC or is it lobe centerline?

    Positive numbers = more advance?

    Negative numbers = more retard?

    Thanks Rob

Is this measured at the DLP terminals. As puffwagon has stated, there can be voltage drop if measuring from a different ground point.

    Yep... same ground point.

4 different multimeters and getting a slightly different result each time so...

Back to back the logger with the innovate logworks serial output and adjusted till they matched.

@rfh or anyone else if you're familiar with serial port pairing or virtual serial ports in general and are familiar with microcontrollers or C# / Visual Studio I'd be happy to post up what I've done so far. Prerequisites are a win 11 x64 machine and a quality serial to usb converter. Rolands not allowed to look because I don't want him to see how bad I am at coding.

Hjtrbo, Well over my head mate, thank you though.

  5. Thank You Bill..

Have loaded the following from their page :asd.PNG.8a784fd0d4ddcd8dfd23138aa57464dd.PNG

    Connection success....

Has anyone seen any variation in voltage displayed in the logger vs a multimeter on the dlp terminals?

I am seeing 5.03 meter vs 4.93 on the logger... will need to check for difference from the innovate software vs the logger....

    Cheers

The driver is already included in the PCMTEC Editor installer so no extra software is needed.

    Hey Guys

Just having issues with a DLP, showing this.....984260155_DLPerror.PNG.874ec149adf91c010a99f4f849be2df9.PNG

So I thought I might have a dud DLP until I checked the other one.. (I ordered 2)

    Same story.

    Any Ideas??

I thought about that, but the stock setting is 0.1 seconds or something, and the log shows it changing to open loop in that time frame.

The tps was over 100 for about 3.5 seconds. If it was set to 60 per the previous post then it should be in open loop nearly all the time.

My thoughts exactly.. Idle tps A/D is about 135

As for other scaler tweaks, they are: 1477483950_openloopscalers.PNG.c764dbd07a79ce3f81dca4b396820804.PNG

So maybe the A/d of 60 to transition to open open is a relitive measurement??

Richard you certainly can. Open loop transition for the Australian Fords happens when the driver requests more power and Closed loop fuel control is exited. The criteria for exiting Open loop is based on Throttle Position (TP) via table auF0523. This is the default value for my car were:

    image.thumb.png.e521db52cca86a00ebfa0a5a485d636c.png

Which on a turbo car with any modifications Closed Loop fuel control at reasonable high levels of boost (10psi in my case) which I was not happy with.  A/D counts are throttle position in Analogue Digital counts with values varying between 0 and 1023. Think of 0 as closed throttle and 1023 representing the throttle blade full open. You can check your tune but  the PCM considers Wide Open Throttle (WOT) as being around 590 A/D counts. To improve this my tune was changed to:

    image.thumb.png.336b53f62a91c219ea6a8e2725e79f38.png

You can edit this table to get the transition to occur at what throttle position you want.

    Hey guys

I have found the A/D count to be way off on this parameter.... I have blanket changed the A/D numbers to 60, and the log shows this..

Open Loop source B1 on the bottom row TP 252 A/D, transition from closed to open loop..

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Rob

  9. Hey Guys

Did a quick search to see if there was any info for this..

Toying around with the old VN Commo's Delco using Kalmaker hardware/software years ago, there was a function that under cruise conditions it would taper in a closed loop target of over 1.1 lambda in a 10-20second period once certain metrics were met for fuel usage improvements.

I'm sure Nox numbers would have been through the roof but anyway.. Love the 90's

Is there any parameter that lets closed loop target be adjusted on the falcons?

      Cheers Rob

  10. Thanks Roland,

This vehicle has no mods but pings like mad @ 1800 to 2700 and ~40% tps,  regardless of fuel used, 91 or 98. Logs show pretty much no knock detection as if the knock sensors have gone deaf. Have you seen this before?

So it's looking like they need to be changed..

    Cheers Rob
