  1. Hi K44, the red icon is to indicate what parameters have been changed (compared to the stock file) for the strategy in the current open file. If you want to see the differences between the two files, you would need to follow the steps I mentioned in my last reply.

  2. Hi K44, to compare two different files in your case, you could follow the steps below.

    1. Create a stock file of KTDS4NF and leave it open in the Editor.
    2. Press "Compare/History".
    3. Press "Load Compare File" in the compare view.
    4. Select your licensed tune file in the file dialog.

Then it will show you all the differences between the two files.

    Hope this helps.

There's a lot of differences between a manual & auto strategy. Copying the wrong bits will just make things harder in the end & unless you have workshop, you won't be seeing all the differences. How you go about it all will also depend on whether you're using the original NA PCM & an external boost controller or a turbo PCM with stock boost control. If you're using the NA PCM, search "BA NA+T" or "external Boost control", it'll provide some reading material on what others have done for external boost control & any problems encountered.

Go to Home - PCMTec. Support & login to create a support ticket explaining you've chosen an incompatible manual strategy & need to change to an auto strategy.
The PCMTEC will assess whether or not you may be eligible for a refund of credits to licence the correct strategy & unlicencing of the incorrect one.
Roland has mentioned it's not official policy to do it but will be looked at on a case by case basis.

NOTE: If you're having problems logging into the support website, try a different web browser as it's a new support portal & there may be glitches. I just tried to login using Edge browser & it failed but worked using firefox & should also work using chrome. The failure using edge could be due to my settings or extensions being used & may work for you. @PCMTEC

Hi Bill, what exactly happened when you logged in via the Edge browser? Could you please also share your Edge browser setting so we could investigate for you?

    Hi,

Can you please check the download source code link, it doesn't seem to work.

    https://pcmtecgeneralstorage.blob.core.windows.net/public/TestApps%2FPcmtec.DashEmulator - source code.zip

Or email me a copy please to sparkie.m@xtra.co.nz

    cheers,

    Hi sparkie.m@xtra.co.nz,

The source code is no longer available. But the top link still works and you can use that exe in the folder for testing.

I've had this happen plenty of times but not much lately. It seems to happen when the logger has been running for a long time and also when saving runs but not restarting the logger.

Anyhow that's my anecdotal version, I'd have to get logging again to see if I can replicate it. Should be a couple of weeks 😉

Hi Puffwagon, if you see that happens again in the future, could you please let use know by raising a support ticket or send us an email to support@pcmtec.com? Also it would be great if you could also upload the Editor logs to us by "Help" -> "Send Editor Logs to support". Thanks in advanced!

  6. Hi,

What version of the Editor you are using at the moment? You could check it via "Help" -> "About".

What cable are you using for datalogging?

    What car is it?

There is a way to load your pre-saved layout or default layout back.
When the datalogger is running, at the bottom left corner, there is a "Load" button. Press that button and you can load the layout file you want.

  7. Hi Will, could you please upload the CustomOS file to support@pcmtec.com? What parameter has you changed? It's known that for some specific parameters in BA once you modify it, we have to do a full write otherwise a partial write will brick the PCM.

Update - The issue above is resolved in 2.11

  8. Hi Will,

As you are with Workshop Edition, you will have the feature of "Populate Unlicensed File" under "Calibration Tools" which allows you to view the file without licensing the file, as long as it's not tunerlocked by someone else.

So you just need to open the file, go to "Calibration Tools" then "Populate Unlicensed File".

We have a licensing guide on the first page of the CustomOS Wizard.

If the Editor is asking you for 5 credits, its most likely a Standard Custom OS file.

    Best regards,

I don't have comanded lambda er bank 1 or commanded equivelence ratio, also logging commanded final lambda bank 1 when going into the lower numbers like lambda 0.85 in the scanner it only will read single digit numbers, but when reading leaner number's like lambda 1.10 it will show that. And is there a way to log o2 sensor 1 volts?. Cheers.

Hi will15, are you logging a Falcon or Mustang? The example I provide above is from Mustang, if you are logging a Falcon it would be different.

In terms of the decimal places, in the "Log" tab, check the bottom left corner and there should be a check box called "Expand". Tick the check box, you should see the "+/- Decimals" button. You can use this to adjust the decimal places.

Cheers that looks a lot better, is there a way to change the STFT to a % as well, and how do i disconnect the scanner i have to close the program to disconnect atm.

It seems we do not have the unit conversion for STFT, but we do have unit conversion for STFT for Bank1/2. Please check the pic I attached. But I will still pass this information to the development team.

To disconnect the Datalogger, there are few ways to do it.

    1. Press the "Vehicle" button while the datalogger is running. The button is in grey if the datalogger is running.
      image.png.d4d7760303d2abb46eb5d200126b7101.png
    2. There is a "X" in the right of the datalogger panel(not the one for closing the Editor though). I have highlighted in the screenshot.
      image.thumb.png.cd4a0f3a873855881be168b475dafec8.png
    3. Also, you could press "Pause" to pause the datalogger. To define "Pause", the datalogger session is still running in the background, it is just the charts do not get drawn. As soon as you "Start"(same button position but different icon and text) it again, it will continue updating the chart.

    Hope this information helps.

  12. Hi Mick, our software has only been tested thoroughly with WIN10. But we do have few customers have tried using the Editor with WIN11 and there have been few display issues with it. We are still figuring out what are the causes of it. I recommend you to keep using WIN10 if possible for the best experience. However, if you really need to upgrade to WIN11 and spot any issues, It will be such a great help to send them to us so we could look into it. Thanks.

  13. Hi 79xd250,

There are a number of reasons that might prompt you to change the strategy. Without knowing the exact situation, we cannot tell you what this would do.
You can send us your current strategy via support portal so we can know better what your situation is.
Most importantly, please do not flash any strategy you are not sure into the vehicle.

  14. Hi @Puffwagon, it's Scott here from PCMTEC, I was trying getting to the bottom of your issue happened on last Friday("ctd several times"). I could not find anything stands out from the logs uploaded by the Editor. Just wonder, are you comfortable sending the event logs of your computer on that day to us so I could have bit more information to find out what the actual issue is? Steps to obtain the event logs are as follow if you need any helps.

    1. Go to Event Viewer of your computer.
    2. Navigate to following section.
      image.png.80bb6083adf4ba2bae1e9f425a4c31b1.png
    3. "Filter Current Log" to the specific date(12/03/2021, the date you experienced the crash).MicrosoftTeams-image.thumb.png.95dec59c42b4c1dd233f10935a69b2fa.png
    4. "Save Filtered Log File As" to be a local copy and send that log to support@pcmtec.com

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,
    Scott Tan
