Cole Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 hi ive ran into a complicated situation. i have a fg xr6 5 speed auto sedan and a crashed fg xr6 turbo ute with a 6 speed zf. i put all the turbo stuff into the na xr6 but the modules won't talk to each other. my guess is that the entire body harness needs to be changed but i can't use the ute body harness since it is different to the sedan. next step obviously is to buy the body harness from a turbo sedan. anyone else ever done this? i heard that pcmtec is the best place to go to ask they specialise in this kind of stuff? is there anything else i need to do from there on? cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MK1 or MK2. what exactly did you swap over from a module perspective, PCM also? Have you used IDS or Forscan to help with diagnosis. Where are you located? Cole Posted May 8, 2022 Author Share Posted May 8, 2022 hi they are both mk1 cars. i swapped the pcm and tcm but because im changing from a 5 speed to a 6 speed the body loom is not compatible with the new pcm and tcm. and no i haven't used ids and forscan. im guessing thats something i need to buy from pcmtec. so for now i think the body harness needs to be changed for the modules to even talk. not sure if a mk2 harness would work with a mk1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
