need some advice on ignition timing been pulled

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm looking for some advice to see if my data log of my FG xr6t witch has f6 tune and injectors is normal.

Seems to be pull a heap of timing down low part throttle and high in the rev range when 100% throttle.

I have upload the log and the tune from 315 onwards is when the timing starts to get pulled in the log from part throttle to pull throttle pull.

thanks for your time.

check log for timing pull.teclog fg with f6 andgear box tune.tec

I would start by putting your knock sensor settings back to stock. In the file they are more sensitive than stock and will pull more timing than necessary.

Thank you for the help.

Is there a reason why the stock f6 tune has the knock sensors more sensitive?

F6 turbo is different than FG turbo. Other than that, make sure you run 98 octane, preferably from a BP servo.

Yeah I know about the turbo been different it seems to be nearly hitting its target for boost.

il change the knock sensors settings and hope she holds together 😂

What afr is it running under load? You'd be hard pressed to hurt the engine with 10psi but better to get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Yeah going off the short fuel trims in the log it’s around 11.

I do have a wide band on order thro just waiting for it to come 😂
