FG MK2 NA , Can Turbo strategy be written to the NA Pcm?

You should be able to datalog the TCM separately by clicking the trans button in the datalogger. You wouldn't be the first to do this.
If it is possible there must be more to it? . If no pcm is detected the "trans" button is not selectable in the logger.

What is the problem with datalogging?
In this case im Running a haltech pcm but still use pcmtec to tune the tcm. Assuming I need a ford pcm for the trans data to be logged successfully .
Thanks .

Has anyone successfully logged the ZF transmission live data with PCMTec when using an aftermarket PCM ?
Reading and writing to the TCM etc works as per normal but really need the live data.
Cheers

Hi all,
In the GM world I can set a minimum allowable TCC pressure and also modify the boost ramp based on load. Searching through the many thousands of parameters now to see what might look promising but just wondering on the off chance someone might have been down this road before and would care to share the table(s) name(s). FG Mk1 XR6T
What I am trying to do is on tip in have the converter already sufficiently locked that it does not break free momentarily until the boost ramp catches it. Please see screen shot where you can see the converter momentarily slip. Normally I wouldn't worry about this, but it just happens to coincide with a shitty drone spot in my crap Chinese exhaust so it does my head in.

Did you manage to sort this? Id like to increase tcc apply pressure also.

Transplanted FG Running gear into foreign chassis. Engine runs fine but we keep getting P0659 & trans always in Limp Mode.
Im using an FG shifter, terminating resistor at the trans plug , have 60ohms on the canbus.

You might need the wiring diagrams too
Cheers Bill, Just waiting for the Ford forum approval!

Had a few people get stuck with these an an FG ZF6 (maybe the same on BF, unconfirmed). If you transplant the entire engine bay, trans and dash loom from a 6 speed manual into your auto vehicle you will have a much easier time wiring wise.
If you keep the auto loom and do all of this there is a modification that must be done (and probably others but definitely this one needs doing).
Now that you don't have the auto transmission C14 etc will no longer have the canbus loop seen here between 915A and 915B and also the loop between 914A and 915B will be missing.

@Roland@pcmtec , is there a canbus network available to us in document form for diagnostic purposes? Mk2 G6E

Which part of the open loop procedure causes applied dc to the solenoid at idle and stalled?
Found it 👍

Yes
would that be wastegate failed closed? or a combination ? thanks

Can we still effectively run an over boost shutdown in open loop boost control ?

I have a boosted ba xr8 , cold start great , have it performing well etc everywhere alse , only challenge left is hot start.. to fire during a hot start it Needs WOT to fire, assuming its getting too much cranking enrichment, as idle is very rich for around 10 seconds before the inj pw halves and runs great at target afr. Where would I start looking for the over commanded fueling at crank during operating temp. Thanks

I have a na+t, in a r31 .. so its still got na tc and i skid it, so i was worried about heat.
Given the cars light with 3.89 diff the barra makes enough power without the tcc slipping.
The other day i put the manshift tcc map into all of the variables and tbh it seems fine, thus far.
they are an awesome trans! just been upping my pressures and upshift pressures today, haltech pcm but love the control with pcmtec for trans tuning.

why would you need the TCC unlocked?
Hi beerturbo, I have a built trans (ZF) ive also modified the stator for a looser convertor , laggyish turbo too (g35/1050) , i just find it drives around the street so much smoother without the tcc.. However im all about it in 5&6th cruising.
Cheers

What are you looking to adjust?
Hi there, TCC lock up points, Ideally only have it active/locked in 5/6th cruising.

Update: This is as good a place as any.
Can we control the TCC through the zf trans maps?
Thanks

Evening guys.
If I had carried out the above open FG loop procedure but had left some small numbers in the "boost integral gain" auF0286 , would this be why im seeing 5-10% duty cycle even with zero DC in the auF16463 wastegate duty cycle table? Im yet to get a chance to test it.
Cheers

Note this guide is an approximation and may contain errors. Caution should be used when using the assumptions made here. The parameters listed here are for BA/BF only, FG uses different parameter names. A separate guide for FG will be added later.
Boost Control
Hi Roland, Has there been an FG How too boost control guide written up yet?
Thanks

It is also recommended to disable LTFT when the ghost cam is active by adding this to your ghost cam tune. This will prevent closed loop fueling from maxing out adding fuel (auF0164)
Hi Roland, How do I add the auF0164 parameter to just my Ghost cam tune? Thanks
