Fuel pump control I would imagine is the best place to start, you can modify the duty cycle table and limits.
Thanks. Do you have a FGII LILPG strategy?
-
Apparently Custom Machine Works have success tuning the LILPG with turbo conversions, they say the extra fuelling is available through programming, they're using PCMtec. Any idea which table or function allows extra fuelling?

Does your torque source change when this happens?
Nope. Torque source remains the same. It's the throttle that isn't operating gradually.

A problem I never found a resolution for. The vehicle would overshoot then undershoot the set speed no matter what gradient the road. I wonder if it's an issue with the PCM calibration taking speed reading from the ABS module?

stupid question, say if first gear is 2.743 to one, how do i calculate it out?
is it 2.743 times xRPM ?
Looking at the table from BeerTurbo, column 1 @ 100% throttle, you would multiply 2170 x 1st gear ratio which gives you the calculated engine RPM for the gearshift.
2170 x 2.39 = 5186rpm. Hope that helps.
Gear ratios are:
1st - 2.39:1
2nd - 1.45:1
3rd - 1.00:1
4th - 0.68:1- 1

Looked at accelerator pump enrichment?

hey mate sorry to bring up an old post, but how is the multiplication worked out? what is it multiplied by and with what?
Thanks in advance ☺️The multiplier is the transmission gear ratio. 3rd gear is 1:1 so the table = engine rpm.

Will check, I don't think so actually.

Update. Stock NA closed loop tables did not fix the problem. Its definitely a drive by wire or torque control issue, the throttle won't maintain gradual increases or decreases, its as if the throttle applies too much, then snaps back.
Not sure what the fix is at this point. I notice the engine will do it without cruise enabled, driving on a flat surface and steady throttle the throttle modulates without peddle input.
-
Been having this issue as well, hunting during cruise, mainly over 100km/h. I fixed it by reverting back to the stock closed loop peak to peak amplitude settings, auF3245. The engine did not like the turbo settings.
-
Agreed. There's no trickery to this, I dont think I've extended the DFCO enable time. The flames on trailing throttle on started to occur after I changed the mid section of the exhaust post dump pipe to 4", going through 5" cat body, back to single 4" muffler, then into single 3.5" over the diff. Prior to that I had a twin 2.5" cat setup and it wouldn't throw flames during trailing throttle.

I'm sure most tuners don't let their customers cars go out with retarded timing on decel, or running pig rich, but how are most tuners getting big flames like this?
Like this?

Thanks. Doing some reading elsewhere that is what is also suggested. I'm data logging around 1 deg KR during cruise with the stock MBT tables with the built engine so I know I need to adjust the sensitivity.
-
Bump. How can sensitivity be reduced?

I will admit to stupidity because i did try before posting and yes it did go into limp mode. I thought maybe there was another way.
I then took the f6 territory HACH4A5 and moved that config over. got myself ABS and TRC lights on the dash and the gearbox was slipping, so i just went back to std.
i would love to know how to make it stop clunking, the low speed clunk you get when coasting down to a stop. around 7kmhr it does what i assume is change into first and goes clunk. if anyone wants to share there ZF secrets ill be all ears on that one.
You need to compare your file against another file where the 2-1 bump isn't happening and compare any 2-1 shift settings. I'd be looking at shift times, slip times, pressures and the 2-1 shift/lock schedule. The easiest thing to do would to increase the 2-1 shift speed to say 10-15km/h and see if that makes a difference to the bump.

What's your strategy?

can you use the HAEK4PE zf calibration on a B series
No as I believe the PCM hardware is different.

Yeah it has a 2 bar map sensor in it
Ok, might have to try a different strategy then.
-
The other question is have you changed the MAP sensor to a 2bar or 3 bar sensor?

Thanks for that Roland. I see that you changed cylair max factor to 1.0 to achieve 1.7 airload capping for 10psi. I am looking at about 18 to 20 psi what to you think I should change cylair max factor to for this. Or is their a calculator to work this out. I believe 1.1 would be in the ballpark but I could be wrong. Thanks for all your help again.
Have you compared to a turbo calibration?
auF0050 set to 0.9
auF0049 set to 0 (to disable anticipated are charge Logic)
These are the setting for HAEK4PE (FG F6 auto calibration)

My stock ZF lasted 20,000kms behind 511rwkw in my G6ET on E85. Sometimes is luck of the draw..........

Tuner also mentioned he enabled the torque limiting function as it was previously disabled. Is it necessary?
If the torque limiting was disabled on the previous tune then I'd say your gearbox is probably 80% rooted. The ZF behind a stock I6T wont last with torque management switched off.

Nothing I say will change your mind as you are basing your statement on opinion and not on data.
Yep. And the opinion of one of the best ZF trans builders in the country who's done hundreds of rebuilds. The adaptive reset down not override the necessity to run a trans in after a rebuild. Period.

There was a procedure for the 4 speed ION transmission in the Falcons to reset the transmission after a repair. From memory it required specific gear positions for a set time in P, R, N & D to reset the learning function of the new or reconditioned box.
I accept what you say, and this is what the ZF needs, the reset adaptive function does not do this unfortunately.
Can I replace 6HP21 with 6HP26 in a Ford Territory 2016 TS MkII petrol RWD
in Transmission Tuning (AUS)

Need to work out how to retrofit the 8HP75 to the Falcons. I've one fitted in my BM, it craps over any built 6R80 or 6HP26. The spread of ratio's is awesome, has inbuilt launch control and can comfortable handle 1000hp in AWD mode.
