Compare tunes

I'm trying to merge 2 tunes to see what is different. I'm not having any luck.

I'm trying to compare my licensed tune FSGS05A against KTDS4NF' and cannot get it to merge in any meaningful way.

Hi K44, to compare two different files in your case, you could follow the steps below.

1. Create a stock file of KTDS4NF and leave it open in the Editor.
2. Press "Compare/History".
3. Press "Load Compare File" in the compare view.
4. Select your licensed tune file in the file dialog.

Then it will show you all the differences between the two files.

I was hoping it would work like the differences from stock. Have the changes show up red and have both defined.

Hi K44, the red icon is to indicate what parameters have been changed (compared to the stock file) for the strategy in the current open file. If you want to see the differences between the two files, you would need to follow the steps I mentioned in my last reply.

I did. I just was expecting it to work differently. I'll get used to it.

You could press ctrl + a then apply all and save it as a temporary file, that would make everything go red that is different, however you wouldn't want to ever use that file.

I can't get ctrl + a to work.

Click inside the compare window, eg click on any of the items in the compare window. Eg I've selected "Development"

Then press ctrl + a

 

Then press space

 

Then press apply

I've been playing with it for several hours, it makes sense now. Thanks for the help.
