  1. Take a few bottles of octane booster as well for insurance. I used to dump a bottle of Nulon in the turbo and my supercharged xr8 (both BA's) when the trips from Brisbane to Townsville or return had no 98oct at a certain place. The turbo was obviously more knock prone but those were the piggyback and then early sct days!
I prefer boost over timing though...

  2. @BeerTurbo I modified 4 or 5 of those settings, will upload a screenshot when I turn my laptop on later today.

Fans come on at 81.1°C (I set 82 so have to check out why it has changed over time/updates) and off at 80

  3. His was jammed in the bottom of the pot though with no clearance so that as opposed to not being 100% level are two different things, unless of course by level you meant jammed on the plastic base and not on an angle (skewed or one higher than the other).

I'm making assumptions with your interpretation though.

  4. I doubt a slightly skewed pump would make much of a difference but you never know.

Yeh mine rarely gets driven which is why I thought a cleanable filter could be done (and inspected) yearly with my oil changes (less than 3k km's a year). My 20lt jerrys I keep for the genset were full with what appears to be algae like what diesel gets and it's the same BP 98oct...

  5. Why not buy one of those adapters like Motion raceworks have that split the fuel at the ethanol sensor? Flows about dash 10 or more with it and I assume every company has ripped off the design by now...

Isn't your swirl pot non existent (cut up) @Puffwagon?

Do you use the 40 micron filter in the Goleby's fuel filter or buy a 10 micron (Aeroflow have the same filter but sell a 10 micron separately, you can't select either/or)...

No that is a completely different drive train, I believe it is from a euro vehicle.

Engine is from range rover and jaguar and the input shaft on the transmission being the 6R80 is different but it's still based on the ZF 6HP26 so I would have thought you'd be able to read the TCM or is it a total different control module system?

  7. I have 60lb Deka's in my 2008 F6X. The tune is mild (not tuned by me) but idles pretty much perfectly (might need 100rpm now as an engine mount is hammered!) and I never had any issues in my previous BA turbo with them either. Idle on the BA's though were up around the 850rpm mark from memory as they did have a tendency to stall...

Not sure if that's all I do is just attach my tune so see attached file!

Workshop users now have a menu item under calibration tools called "Populate Unlicensed file". This will allow you to perform a read of a vehicle and view the contents of the file without licensing it. This requires an internet connection to work.

  9. Big companies have always been and will always continue to be greedy. It's about making more money than the previous month every month! You only have to look at the path the xcal took for instance yet the device is still gigantic and butt ugly lol....
