Yortt
I do not meet the requirements to purchase a workshop package, is there a comprehensive list that covers what I cannot do with the professional package that can be done with the workshop package, so I can advise customers accordingly.
Darryl@pcmtec
Yortt, In the Demo version you can select from the drop down menus what parameters are available for each version. Go to the View menu and select the version you would like to see: This shows all version selected but you can turn on or off what you want. Roland@pcmtec
Another item the workshop version has is "populate unlicensed file" eg you can view (but not edit) unlicensed files that you have read from a vehicle. We also offer the Custom OS features to the workshop first as they have the ability to beta test and assist us by testing on a dyno etc. Finally we offer phone/screen sharing remote login support to workshops. Pro and enthusiast are forum/email only.
Yortt
The vehicle presented to me has been tuned by a workshop with the PCMtec workshop version, upgraded to boost by gear. The customer is installing a flex sensor and wants it re-tuned for E85. Will the professional version be able to access the boost by gear and be upgradable to flex fuel operating system then be accessible with the professional software? Darryl@pcmtec
Yortt, Yes that is all achievable and we do Professional version of Flex Fuel on a per request basis. You might have to start from scratch if the tuner locked the tune though.
