gasxp
Hi Everyone Trying to tune a ba xr8 with cams that i have applied the speed density via map COS. No matter what i do i can not get it to run on anything but one line on the slope table which at the moment is 0 inhg. As you will see in the tune file i have 0 in the map and the car will run fine. I dont know if i have messed up the load axis or if it is because their is no stock file available for it. Please help. Puffwagon
Are you seeing it run on one line in the datalogger? Mine did that, although it's a turbo territory, and it was something that I had set up in the logger incorrectly.
Roland@pcmtec
Can you take a video showing a map trace stuck on the 0inhg row?
gasxp
In the datalogger it runs through all the cells but in the tune on the slope map i only have 0 inhg with logical numbers at low load and all the other cells i have filled with 0 to verify that it is only referencing the 0 inhg line. Roland@pcmtec
You have to recreate the table and axis yourself. It won't do it for you.
gasxp
I have populated the axis area with numbers matching what i am seeing in the datalogger 0 -5 -10 -15 -20 -25 inhg, i have put 0 5 10 15 20 25 inhg as well. i have used Kpa instead both negative and positive and all i manage to do is change whether it uses the top or bottom line of of the slope table. If you have some idea on what scale to use i am all ears. Edited July 10, 2022 by gasxp

I've opened the tune and had a look but not everyone will.
gasxp
Thanks Puffwagon I am not getting very far with this. As you can see i have put 0 in all the cells above 0 inhg and this does not affect the running at all. I have tried different values both positive and negative in the axis and it will still only runs of 1 line. It usually just changes whether it takes the top or bottom line. It will completely ignore anything in the mid range cells. It is running as if as though it was still referencing cam angle which as we know in a 5.4 does not change at all. Roland@pcmtec
It's absolute pressure. You should start at 0kpa, 101kpa for approx 1.0 load and 202 for approx 2.0 for 14.7psi of boost. Log your map pressure to map trace against the table and you'll be able to confirm.
gasxp
Hi Roland Did as you suggested and have copied tune file and data log. As you will see in the log i am idling at about 50 to 60 kpaa which in my tune all the numbers are 0 and should stall the car because of excess fuel yet it still runs perfectly and at .925 lambda commanded. Roland@pcmtec
Could you send the file and log into support@pcmtec.com and we will check the file out for you.
Roland@pcmtec
Make sure you have tuned your map at zero table as well. It doesn't use just the slope table.
