Is this a conversion car? Or a factory vehicle? 

If it is a factory vehicle put the stock tune back in it and see if it goes away. This will tell you if it's tune related or hardware. 

If it's a conversion car it is likely one of the many possible limp modes kicking in. 

I also suggest doing a DTC read with Forscan.
