  1. Hi thanks for that, I tried playing with end less combinations with that table and it seems to only want to give me 100dc or 0 dc I would like to take out 20 % dc at 0 deg so I put in the 0 colum -0.2 and it gives 0 dc until spark cut on gear change then gives me 38% dc. If I try -0.09 it does nothing. Is it playing off some other table I might have done something to?

  2. This is running a 50mm external gate which works well, but if I’m commanding 50 dc for the gate and I get -5deg on a gear shift it over boost. I don’t see how I could adjust the wgdc table for a gear change as a gear shift can happen in different rpm range depending on throttle position. I had a g6e that I was playing with TM and reduced it to 10% but some times it would gear shift weird.

  3. Is anyone  successfully running Torque management (timing retard on gear shift) and not getting boost spikes on the gear shift with a biggish turbo. Can you just do say 20% torque management or is it a thing that should only be set to  either on or off?

Can you give step by step instructions of what you did?

I have sorted the compare file stuff out, but for copy and paste say I want to copy boarder line knock table and paste it to mbt table. I select the hole boarder line knock table and then copy, open the mbt table highlight the hole table then paste.

Just drag the column header and make it wider so you can see the whole number.

Otherwise if you leave it on the default values of 6 decimal places then restart the program it will auto expand everything anyway.

sorry I must be retarded I have put the cursor over everything and can't make it wider. Is my math right?. check the hp file same tune.

I am having trouble working this out to, pressed the plus button and it changed the hole number, I worried if I try and change it it will be completely wrong. what is lbm/s can we change it to lb/h? and can we also change any other units like f to c deg?

This is an interesting one. It looks like ford have done something interesting to the ECT spark scaling table in HAEE4, I checked 4 of the stock files and they all are similar to this.

At 68c you are 154f which would make it

    ((200-140) - (154-140)) / (200-140) = 0.76

    0.76 * 40 degrees = 30.6 * 0.1 = 3.06 degrees timing

    So 10 + 3.06 ~= your 13 degrees you are seeing

As 13.3 is less than your MBT table (~20 degrees) this all makes sense. This is why some people make their MBT identical to their Borderline table.

So it looks like this is your problem.

as the MBT table is calibrated at 200F it makes sense that you can run an extra 4 degrees of timing at 140F, the -18 (1.8 degrees) would be for cold start/emissions purposes. Remember that these figures would have been for a stock turbo.

So easy solution is simple zero out all positive numbers in the IAT (auF0220) and ECT (auF0222) adder. It looks like you've already done that for IAT.

Sweet thanks for that ford spark timing is a Weird strategy. Is there more info on spark timing and the tables, more of a how and why each table is used. I don’t really understand the point of the mbt table. All so can we change between f and c degrees. Cheers thanks for all your help.
