  1. according to this the bowser should display "contains 70-85% ethanol". You have been mislead by the labelling, so maybe you have something. I dont think they will be very helpful though. https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2019L01281
  2. Hi, E85 sold in Australia does not have to be 85% ethanol, it can actually be in the range of 70%-85%. If you are filling up at the servo it is going to be very hit and and miss - both with regards to ethanol percent and fuel quality especially at the one that sells E85. I would invest in a means to detect water in your fuel as well - with petrol, water will not mix and will sit at the bottom of a tank, but water will mix with ethanol. With E85 the water can form an azeotrope and become "mixed" in a sense. Maybe consider buying by the 205 L drum from a racing fuels place? They should be able to guarantee quality and content. Petrol sold in Australia may contain up to 10 per cent ethanol (‘E10’). The Ethanol E85 fuel standard describes a fuel blend consisting of 70–85 per cent ethanol and 15–30 per cent petrol" Regulating Australian fuel quality | Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources
  3. My (non) understanding of it is that they designed basically as flow charts, which in turn each part of the flow chart is a reference to another flow chart, and so on and so on and so on until you reach flowchinifinity. It's quite impressive what PCMTec has done, it's one thing to figure out how to download and upload the data, but to then go on and define it and make use of it was likely not an easy process.

Can I buy some PCMtec stickers? Do you guys have any issue with stickers on cars (from an enthusiast perspective not a business one)?
  7. This could be the issue, you can disable/modify ETC as a method to limit torque there, if auf0261 is all set to 1 it is allowing the PCM to choose from every possible torque reduction option so it is choosing ETC in this case to limit engine speed. (I think, somebody correct me if inaccurate). This post has better info on those params.
  8. supported by PCMTEC, specifically the Ford and JLR models, I have an MFC2 Toyota variant - assuming no good as FEPS pin not set up? Detected but J2534 error. Waiting on Tactrix to arrive

  13. ever post that emulator you were working on?
  14. Not fussed about making more power, car is probably as powerful as it can get without forced induction. Has full extractors and pipes all the way back, had a big intake but returned to stock as moved to sunny melbourne, plus throttle controller and short shifter. I am more interested in learning about how PCM's work and seeing what comes from poking around as well tinkering with random things like cutting the AC compressor clutch automatically @ full throttle and air cooling the engine via cylinder cutout in an overheat condition. Random but yep.
  15. I can see it on the config tab:
  16. Sorry hit post button early Am considering purchasing a license. Am I in the ballpark with the basic needs required for getting started. Windows 10 Laptop 8g ram ssd hard drive Tactrix Interface Wideband o2 sensors I have a Boss 5.4 (302) with a pcm that was flashed by an SCT tuner by BlackMac Performance in WA, who have since shutdown, I think the PyCM is locked, is this an issue? I cannot see any config or as built data for it on Forscan, only have the option to reset adaptations. Also concerned about nuking my engine, common sense aside are there inbuilt warnings in the software that suggest a value is too high or low?
