richardpalinkas
hey just wondering if there is a way to change how quick the transmission reacts in manual mode. for instance, when you manually change gears, there is a delay from when you upshift to when the transmission starts its shift procedure. essentially i want to reduce the time delay from driver input to response from transmission. thanks
Darryl@pcmtec
Hi Richard. The ZF does have a lot of controls for shift times and times around the action. You can change them in PCMTec. I would do a search and see what you think you need to change. Be aware that there is no point in reducing the times beyond what is physically possible so you may not get any benefit by changing these values. Keep us posted as we are very interested

richardpalinkas
Zf02676 delay tine for upshift. Is this the delay time from shifter input to start of shift sequence?
richardpalinkas
Reviving this one. Has anyone worked out how to change or make the transmission react faster to inputs from the shifter? The dash displays the shift sequence instantly, just the trans shifts are delayed slightly from driver input
Tyson
Look not real up to speed with anything ZF but what makes the biggest difference to the BTR is upping line pressure. Pretty much the old school/shift kit approach.
Milanski
Reducing the delay would be very helpful if anyone knows.
Roland@pcmtec
It is mostly a mechanical delay afaik. Not much you can do about it. Just set it to shift slightly earlier than what you actually want to take into account the delay. 64ms of the delay will be the canbus messaging, once again not much you can do about that.
