Fiftycal13 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Wondering if Aem x series guage will datalog into pcmtec using its obd2 interface? If not what is required to datalog wideband? Prepping for my na+t fg conversion and only have previous experience with haltech. https://www.aemelectronics.com/products/gauges/digital-gauges/x-series-wideband-uego-obdii Quote
Roland@pcmtec Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 We recommend the DLP 8 channel analog input cable. You can then wire in analog inputs and scale them using equations. Canbus based datalogging is something we have wanted to do for a long time but resources haven't permitted it. We are working on a canbus based flex fuel device for the newer Fords, as part of this we may add datalogging for other CAN IDs. Quote

Roland@pcmtec Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 Unfortunately they majority of customers are not interested in it as they ask use aftermarket logging solutions (AEM and custom dashes etc) or the dyno. So we don't have the resources to add this. Quote
hjtrbo Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 When the @PCMTEC crew have time to open up an additional DLP comm port name it will be possible to home brew CAN devices into the logger. No ETA. 1 Quote
Roland@pcmtec Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 You could write your own driver and give it the same name. Another option. OBDX driver for example literally just remames the com port, it's the api dll that does everything. It now doesn't even need the driver and will try random comports until one responds appropriately. hjtrbo Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Haven't tried recently. Will set my sim back up and see what's what. Quote
