Yortt
With your 0.75 major update does this allow a custom operating system upgrade for an FG falcon series 1 to accommodate boost by gear or does boost by gear on the series 1 still have to be done manually ? Roland@pcmtec
Boost by gear is available on all operating systems. The only custom os restriction is the fg mk1 cannot have dual maps. However if you are not running the 5r55 5 speed auto there is a alternative calibration that cns be loaded into the mk1 fg that will allow dual maps.
Yortt
Thanks for the prompt response, It is a ZF 6spd XR6T series 1 2008. Does this mean the alternate calibration can be loaded and upgraded to a custom operating system with boost by gears and dual maps with the latest software version? Roland@pcmtec
Actually it appears you can do dual maps on all Mk1s, there are just a few limitations in the size and number of tables such as adding cam timing to the dual maps. Everything else is allowed.
BeerTurbo
Howdy. in the turbo territory, or i presume the turbo bf s2 with the ZF...can we do boost by gear-selector mode? EG, wastegate only in D, but when in performance mode run a different boost strategy?
Roland@pcmtec
I'm sure it could be done, but no one has requested it before. The cruise control multi tunes will probably cover this though.

Roland@pcmtec
Getting lots of requests from big workshops is the usual procedure If it is easy and one of us is bored then that is the back-door way.

Barra.AU
Is it possible to do boost by gear in a manual?? Or is this a zf function only??

Works on all vehicles BA-BF-FG auto or manual. The "gear" is calculated based on output shaft speed and wheel speed and then comparing it to an upper/lower bound to determine which gear it is in. We also offer boost by speed if you prefer. Eg a high stall converter vehicle where you only use 3 gears or are doing 300kph sprints. A few of the tuners prefer this over boost by gear on the extremely high hp cars (1000hp+)
