  1. If anyone else has any Forscan as built files feel free to use this thread as a repository. We can make a new thread if there is enough interest.
  2. Disable closed loop fueling and see what happens. That would be interesting and tell a story if it fixed the problem.
  3. Does your torque source change when this happens?
  4. Have to remember there is 20+ years of engineering from 100s of engineers behind the OEM PCM. It isn't something you can expect to fully grasp in a short period of time.
  5. These are generally nightmare jobs. Have a chat to Brett at Custom Machine Works or Bill at Everything Barra. They have a lot of experience with conversions. https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Automation-Service/Custom-Machine-Works-856789001022313/5 https://www.facebook.com/groups/billscustomlooms
  6. Download the demo and you can contrast what is and isn't available.
  7. With stock injectors it will be very easy to pop the motor if you aren't using a wideband.
  8. I dont really follow the reason/use case. Its momentary, if you don't want to use it, simply don't use it?
  9. Have you installed the driver's from under tactrix website?
  10. That is what is in the car. You need to know what is MEANT to be in the car. Eg the drivers side tear tag.
  11. That is really interesting to know. I tried downloading as built data via vin from the motorcraft site but it only had the pcm when entering a Falcon VIN. Does Forscan manage to find asbuilt ABS data? Edit: looks like it works the same as an IDS offline session and let's you reload it from a list. Very handy!
  12. Do not go past MBT. MBT is defined as when you stop making torque and start to go backwards. You need a load cell dyno to calibrate MBT accurately. MBT will be different depending on lots of things such as intake and coolant temp, there is no magic number.
  13. It is missing the scalars to do so. You can make it do a hard cut like you've found but I don't believe it is possible to make it like an FG. You could try lowering the torque reduction value to see if half way will be drivable.
  14. Are the cables supported here www.pcmtec.com/faq
  15. It won't let you license the custom OS in the first place with Enthusiast. They will see an error like this:
  16. 5.4 ghost cam done by Lee at real Dyno via a spark oscillation only.
  17. Can you raise a support ticket. I sent you a pm almost 2 weeks ago with no answer.
  18. Put the torque table back to stock and see what happens.
  19. Here are some early screenshots showing the Datalogger version 2. This has map tracing, histograms/scatterplot and a new revamped UI. Here is an example showing a line trace over a spark multiplier map with a histogram showing min/max/avg spark values below. You can instantly create the histogram with axis pulled from a table by simply highlighting a section of the log and clicking add map trace. Here is a screenshot of the new UI which will show min/max/avg on the left hand side of the selected area. There is also a new scroll bar which shows the rpm trace making it easy to find you WOT run after a dyno trace. There will be more updates to come but this should be available around Christmas time. Thanks to @Matt for working very hard on this recently. When it is complete and ready for public testing we will put a video up.
  20. Is this a conversion car? Or a factory vehicle? If it is a factory vehicle put the stock tune back in it and see if it goes away. This will tell you if it's tune related or hardware. If it's a conversion car it is likely one of the many possible limp modes kicking in. I also suggest doing a DTC read with Forscan.
  21. It will be a 2 part course, one for engine tuning one for ZF tuning. It will be produced in a document form that you can view within the editor (still working out the details) and eventually there will be an in person course run that can be attended in VIC. It will be run by Dave Symons at DSR Performance. Initially the in person training it will be offered to workshops however they will most likely offer it to DIY once the first. The documentation will most likely be something you can purchase or comes included depending on the package, we are still working out the details. The training material is designed to get a basic ~250-300rwkw car tuned including everything you need to do including mechanical diagnosis etc. It will be suited for mechanics that are relatively new to tuning or are experienced tuners that have never tuned the Ford/Barra engines with our software before. Goal is to have the training material ready early next year in document form.
