  1. I'll try to make some time to get setup the channels in the PCMTEC data logger & provide them too
  2. Here's a short video of switches being checked using FORScan on my phone. It was what I had with me at the time. You can see when switches are activated, there are voltage changes or when the brake is applied, brake is displayed. You'll also need to add the clutch pedal switch to the channels. When checking the brake pedal switches, press slowly/gradually so you can see them activate individually. The BOO switch should activate before the BPA switch. Cruise & Brake Switch Checks.mp4
  3. Forscan or pcmtec, whichever your familiar with or want to become more familiar with. I haven't logged the switches with pcmtec but it will be just adding the correct channels.
  4. Also log what the brake, clutch & cruise switches are doing when activated. It'll help with diagnosing the cruise
  5. I've never given it a thought. I've swapped ABS modules in BA & BF without needing to change VIN. I haven't had to swap one in FG
  6. Done. I've pasted the original comment with instructions below the tables on the spreadsheet Shift Tables.xlsx
  7. I'd say the downloads page you're seeing is different because you haven't purchased PCMTEC. What do you get when you try to click on "This is downloads2"? Does it show a link or do anything? If not, it could be as simple as a broken link. Use the "Contact Us" link & advise support. Provide all the details including screenshots. Not sure if not having windows activated will cause you any issues either. Cheap Windows10 Pro licences can be purchased on eBay for about $30 the last time I looked. That's how I activated mine.
  8. Check the 2010 MacBook Pro meets the recommended specs on the FAQ page. I've been running PCMTEC on my 2019 MacBook Pro for several years & have only occasionally have a glitch. They've often been caused by having multiple instances of the program open & in the earlier versions. It's been much better in the 2+ versions. I run PCMTEC on Windows 10 via Bootcamp. Based on my experience, as long as your MacBook meets the specs, you're running Windows10 with the latest updates & all the other required software eg .Net4.7.1, you should be able to run PCMTEC professional.
  9. When you put the mouse pointer on the word "Download", you should see it change to the hand & link display at the bottom of the screen. Have you got .Net4.7.1 etc installed as mentioned lower in the downloads page? Make sure these are all installed. Sign out of PCMTEC & reboot the laptop & see if it works. It may still be that it doesn't work as a DEMO customer. If that doesn't work, try installing the version 3....again from the lower section of the downloads page....Looking for special downloads. None of this may help you, I'm just throwing out suggestions
  10. I can't see the link to the demo software on the website which may mean that what was called "Demo Version" may have been removed due to it being several years old. Try installing the latest 2.11 release or the 3 Beta & logging in. When users login to the application, it logs them in with the level of access that the user has paid for ie enthusiast can only access enthusiast parameters. The worst that can happen is you can't log in. PCMTEC may have removed the demo version & updated the way a user who doesn't have a paid subscription accesses the newest versions ie they may be able to login & view files in the same way the demo version worked but not have edit access. It would make sense to have you looking at what the PCMTEC application is capable of now as opposed to what it was capable of several years ago. Admin Edit: Download link removed
  11. T5 is a 5 speed & t56 is 6 speed. Big difference in $$ & there'll be a few more issues to deal with to get cruise working. MTX min & max values need to be correct. Diff ratio plays a part in this too. This should be sorted with the manual strategy but getting codes will also show other possible issues. Red black & white red wires at the trans plug
  12. Just thinking about the cruise again....I remember reading somewhere that some NA pcm's are missing the clutch switch driver but I've not confirmed it.
  13. From memory, it is set to 0 in a na & 1 in turbo strategies
  14. Hi Graham, I usually recommend that a manual strategy is used straight up. It saves having to manually update switch settings, dashpot etc. A PATS fault shouldn't trigger the check engine light. There has to be other codes to trigger the light. Cruise not working could be related to other switch settings. Was cruise working before the conversion? Does "CRUISE" display on the cluster when? Check cruise, clutch & brake switch operation using FORScan.
  15. Great info again Jakka. You've likely already worked out the rest of the description for auF2552 but in case you haven't, others are interested or @PCMTEC wish to update the description, auF2552 "Calibration of Engine Cylinders and Valves for SCP. CAl as (NUMCYL * 8 + (Number of valves) 6 cyl is 6x8+4=52 V8 3v is 8x8+3=67 V8 4v is 8x8+4-68
  16. Not a problem Peter, you are correct. The reverse lockout parameters are classified "Workshop/Professional Development Parameters" & are only visible to workshop customers
  17. I've seen the issue with the reverse lockout not working before on a conversion & until you've posted what you found, I didn't investigate it too far. Checking HAAT3VC F6 strategy against HAANFG4 t5 XR6T strategy, the reverse lockout parameters are blank. Opening HAANFG4 on it's own & searching reverse lockout, the parameters aren't included in the strategy. In the past, I've just compared the gear ratios of manual strategies to the F6 to determine if it's a 5 speed or 6 speed manual strategy but now know checking reverse lockout is another option. F6 6 speed open below with 5 speed in the compare.....MTX ratio helps get the cruise control working on a 6 speed conversion
  18. You'd have near replaced everything suspension related. Turn the volume up & it'll go away 🤣
  19. @dat111 you've changed to a 3576 so this is more likely to happen with boost coming on earlier
  20. Cool, it'll be easier to find there & having it added into the "Calibration list" will also make it easier to filter strategies with the desired value if needed
  21. @Kirby@PCMTec @Roland@pcmtec auF12105: "Engine peak torque for SCP" could be another handy parameter to add to the Calibration List....when time permits
  22. Excellent write up Kirby & great work Jakka. I'll have to have a look at this
  23. Ocassionally, you'll see one advertised for a reasonable price but they're never local, lol
  24. Yep, where you've already got the external controller setup & it's working fine, then why bother. If you're starting from scratch & have to buy a na pcm & external controller then it pays to weigh up both options & goals.
