  1. ABS is on HS can. Whilst the Tatrix should be capable of programming ABS, I always grab the OBDLink EX cable. FORScan have been adding & modifying programming functions & test with the OBDLink EX & v Linker FS cables. FORScan have now started including a warning on the connection log. Something along the lines of.....unsupported cables may not work or have limited functionality
  2. @Roland@pcmtecI agree totally. I purchased the lifelong licence when it was available....about $70 from memory. Still way too cheap & I would have paid a lot more for it. Here's why everyone should buy a licence if they're going to use it...... A Ford dealership refused to work on a 12 year old 2009 FG1 XR8, stating it was too old & they no longer supported it. It was randomly stopping & would restart but had been setting a P1260 code. At times the code would be set as being present & it would be immobilised, then other times it would just restart & show fault no longer present. My mate did some data logging using FORScan as well as various other checks & couldn't get any real reason for it happening. It had 2 keys stored so we tried doing a PATS module initialisation & PATS module initialisation failed, leaving the vehicle immobilised. An email off to FORScan support with the debug file & a few hours later, we had a test version to try. It still failed but a new error & different % progress. There were several emails back & forth with debug data & new test versions. I couldn't fault their response time frame nor their dedication to solving the problem. The FORScan Team found a bug where at the the dealership level, it's not possible to program FG1 PATS if the PCM is partially immobilised. I don't know how a PCM becomes partially immobilised or what they did but the next test version worked & the bug fix will be released in the next version. NOTE: FORScan are now only providing support to people with PAID licences. If I didn't have a paid licence, I may not have received any support at all & Ford had no interest in looking at the vehicle prior to anyone else having a look at it, hence why I was asked to help. There was an additional response between the 15th & 19th. The next test version was received a few hours later on the 15th & the delay of a few days was due to me not having access to the vehicle for programming. THANKS FORScan!!
  3. The symptoms you're describing are very often due to plugs or coils breaking down
  4. @dat111 try logging these using the latest logging template in 2.10 to get values to confirm. It'll also confirm if the 600 value is the E clutch as mentioned by @hjtrbo Make sure you're using the latest 2.10 Version I could be wrong but I think the German logging names may have been updated in the new logging templates. Values in the new template are in PSI but the unit can be changed
  5. Here you go @PlumbsThere's a couple of tables auF0183, auF0184, auF0185 as well as scalars auF0182 & auF0417. Might save @Puffwagon time having to start the laptop up
  6. TCM Hardware is listed as being the same in both cars. I believe the TCM software/calibration in Tear Tag A5AE was superseded by the TCM calibration listed on Tear Tag A7AA. Even if it didn't match, you can flash the new TCM with your current TCM calibration
  7. At the top of the top of the display, it'll say 1.25 if you're on the old version or 2.10 if you've updated. If you're still on 1.25, go to the PCMTEC website, log into your account & check the downloads section. You can also check by going to the Help section on the toolbar & then select about. In 2.10, there's also the check for update option. I don't recall that being there in 1.25
  8. Have you looked at the speed source on the original BA na PCM? It will tell you what it needs to be. BA's with ABS/TCS will need the speed source set to ABS via CAN BA's with ABS only, will need the speed source set to ABS via wire BA's with gearbox transducer (no ABS) will need the speed source set to Hall Effect
  9. @JWM I've just carried out a connection test to a PCMTEC Tuner Locked PCM using the latest version of FORScan v2.3.44, Windows10, using an OBDLink EX cable & OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth adapter. Both adapters connect & read the Tuner Locked PCM.....See screen snips showing the strategy isn't correct due to the tuner lock. I also tested the OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth adapter with the FORScan Lite iOS app & it worked as well. Note: The OBDLink MX+ Firmware needed updating to v5.6.19 which was done after taking the screenshots. I've confirmed it works with either firmware.
  10. Here's a screenshot from an FG F6 strategy. You'll see that for this table, all cells 1500 - 3000rpm are 15. Do you really need to change it to an increased range ie 5,500rpm. Login to your account & download the new 2.10 version of PCMTEC from the downloads page & check out You haven't mentioned what PCM & strategy you're using but if it's a BA & you're needing more resolution on some tables, a Custom OS may be necessary. If you use the search function & type in "axis", you'll get a heap of results relating to axis. Search "Custom OS" & you'll have some more interesting reading
  11. Have a look at the OBDLink app. It has PIDs and gauges too. If you buy the OBDLink Mx+ Bluetooth adapter, it works with their app as well as FORScan. It’s a good investment.
  12. Do you have a pcmtec read from the original box? You should be able to create a stock TCM file to use if you don't.
  13. There's more than just one switch to change to get it running right. Depending on what pcm your using, what it's going into, you may be better off changing the strategy to a manual one. EDIT, just had another read....& I'm guessing you're talking about a Territory Ghia auto to manual. If that's the case, there's no need to disable PATS. FORScan can be used to sort out PATS. Because there were no manuals, you'll need to get a manual strategy to compare & make changes to the manual/auto parameters as well as tuning areas or you'll have stalling issues.
  14. The ZF6HP26 TCM OSID is the same from FGI to FGII from what I've been able ascertain but the calibration is where you're likely going to get a mismatch & require a calibration change or TCM swap.
  15. I'm not sure if this'll work but worth a try. Close PCMTEC & reopen it so it re-sync's with the server. This is how we get updated globals etc & might just sync the .dat file. If that doesn't work, then @Puffwagonhas provided the answer you need
  16. Yeah, the battery was just something else to consider when weighing up an old slow running laptop vs newer laptop. The MacBook Pro I use with Windows 10 installed via Bootcamp works great but it won't work if installed in Parallels VM which is why I mentioned that as well. The Macbook is probably overkill haha. Older laptops don't handle resource intensive applications & need decent gpu as mentioned by @Puffwagon
  17. I have an old Toshiba laptop that I resurrected from a cupboard a few weeks ago & whilst it was a great machine when it was new, when I compare it to my current machine, I really don't know how I used it haha. Another thing to keep in mind is the battery life of the old Toshiba. You could easily spend an hour or more out datalogging, making changes, flashing & datalogging again. My old Toshiba only lasts about 15-20 minutes without power connected. Someone else might be using a lower spec machine that can advise how it performs datalogging.
  18. You'll need a laptop or tablet with a native Windows 10 installation. It must NOT be installed on a VM as PCMTEC recognises that it is & aborts startup. If you're considering a Windows 10 tablet, I'd suggest finding something with a decent size screen. Recommended specs below from the FAQ's https://www.pcmtec.com/faq#
  19. @Kirby@pcmtec I've been looking at the Tricore Strategy browser & am seeing 2,532 strategies in total....WOW!! but I'm unable to filter/sort by catch code, vehicle type or engine as they are coming up "Blank" Ver 2.10.7972.20962
  20. @Roland@pcmtec I've been looking at getting one too & have seen DigiKey show Nil stock as does Mouser & RS AU don't seem to list them & some suppliers are saying discontinued. I don't know if DLP Design have discontinued them or the sellers. The only place I've found showing stock is https://ex-en.alliedelec.com/product/dlp-design/dlp-io8-g/70372089/?keyword=70372089 I was going to order one today but if you're considering doing a bulk order, I might be better off waiting if you're going look into to do a bulk order....The DLP-IO14 & DLP-IO20 both are available through DigiKey but are overkill & much more expensive. Let us know what you come up with & expected time frames or if we should be sourcing one.
  21. The BA turbo PCM won't work with the ZF6. If you want factory boost control, get yourself a BF turbo PCM & wiring. This is my preferred option. If you're happy to run aftermarket boost control, you could use the BF na PCM.
  22. Bill

    NA+T BF zf6

This is something that was debated in another post & my interpretation of the response from @Roland@pcmtec was that it will reset the ZF adaptive if ticked.
