  1. It doesn't affect the VCT settings AFAIK. BF na & XR6T have independent VCT & use the same auF12646 settings as BA na & XR6T. BF F6 uses the same setting as BA F6.
  2. The auF12646 "OIL PRES LO OPEN Switch" is a parameter that's set to 0 if you're using an F6 cluster or set to 1 for na & XR6 turbo. If you have the wrong setting, or simply swap the cluster for the wrong type, the oil light will stay on.
  3. Hi Matt, having a play with histograms this afternoon & didn't have a suitable log file created with 2.10 to use the trace function so I've opened a couple of 1.25 logs. I've found it appears to update the file & it increases in file size. After this happens, it's no longer able to be opened in 1.25. It also distorts some of the values eg temps. If a workshop were to need to review a previous log created in 1.25 to confirm/prove what was logged whilst tuning, their log would be lost or invalid due to values displayed. Some examples where the temps are skewed when a 1.25 file is opened in 2.10. Changing units only makes the extreme temps even more extreme.
  4. Thanks for updating us all. The info you’ve provided is very thorough & will no doubt save a few headaches for others 👍🏼
  5. Whilst the log shows that in between the shift inhibit & change to third the torque source changes to transmission shift, it shows the gear commanded is never second gear. Have you logged while sports shift is selected to see if the "shift inhibit" shows in the same place? Does it show second gear as commanded with manual upshift?
  6. Yeah, I can see where the logged "torque source" changes from "driver demand" to "transmission shift" just after you back off in first & before the change to third. I assume you have adjusted all the locations for axle ratio in the pcm tune to 3.9. There's another hidden in the ZF tune to try as well "ZF03985 Ratio of differential"
  7. When it was in limp mode, (without the CANBarra module), would it upshift to second at low RPM or shift straight from first to third? Trans temps are only 43-44 degrees. Have you had it up to full operating temp to see if it's not being inhibited due to operating temp? Also looking at another of your posts, you have changed speed/pulse out settings. Could this be causing your shift inhibit & changing from first to third?
  8. Has it always had the problem in the conversion? Have you tried returning the ZF to stock to see if it has the issue?
  9. Hi BeerTurbo, I've been looking at the differences between BF na & turbo strategies to see if I can find what triggers the mismatch with the na ABS module when a turbo PCM is used eg Fairmont with na ABS/TCS/DSC module & turbo pcm. I was able to help find a solution when a T56 was used in a Fairmont with turbo pcm but testing on a ZF6 vehicle stalled. I'm hoping to find a na vehicle locally to fit a spare turbo pcm I have & continue testing or even get a na ABS module & bench test with a turbo pcm & ZF6. The E trans setting was one of the difference's I'd spotted that we didn't get to try before a turbo ABS module was installed.
  10. I'm assuming your car is a factory turbo with the ABU-244 pcm. The F6 tune isn't the best tune to do a compare & copy due to it using BF sized tables & "Fully independent VCT" which aren't available in a stock BA turbo strategy. A manual BA XR6T strategy would be a better starting point for comparison. If you want to take advantage of the "Fully independent VCT" & BF sized tables, You'd be better off flashing the F6 strategy in.

Hi Bruce, you will need to provide a lot more detail if you want help. Do you have a BTR or ZF6? BA, BF, FG, na or turbo? Describe when is slips & how bad the slipping is.....does it slip on up-shift, under load, under boost, for a split second, is it a slip or a full on neutral for a second & bangs into gear etc. Include what you've done as part of your own diagnosis. Firstly, you should check fluid level & condition? check fault codes? What are they? data log the fault?
  12. Yes, if you put ZF TCM into search, it'll give you. AFAIK, it can't be done with IDS
  13. You can't download key/barrel related files. A parameter reset should work as per Roland's comment above. These stickers shouldn't be removed from the original vehicle that it was affixed to. If you're caught with the sticker off another vehicle, expect to be suspected of re-birthing vehicles & the police to knock down your door. Take a photo if you need the details for programming purposes.
  14. If you plan on having a go at doing any programming using FORScan on a FG, I'd recommend the OBDLink Ex cable. It's proven to be a good cable capable of auto switching between CANbus networks as required. Make sure you buy a genuine one, not a clone & update the drivers when you get it. Avoid any cable with a manual switch.
  15. Thanks for the offer. I'll have to get back to you when I've had some time to go back over the files. It's been a bit chaotic here the last week or so.
  16. I've seen what your proposing used & whilst it was successful, there were a lot of problems encountered. Unless you really want to have ABS, you're probably better off using a CANBarra module. It can be used for other CAN related signals https://www.facebook.com/CANBarra
  17. @Roland@pcmtecI thought from your previous post it was all Stathi's work.....when you or the team can better the product through support, even better again 👍
  18. Well done Stathi. It's one thing to spend time working this out for IMS customers, but to allow you to share it @Roland@pcmtec is pretty awesome!!
  19. Here's a link to the Return To Stock feature that @abs351 mentioned that's available in the professional & workshop versions Another useful link.....HOW TO: Comparing files & using parameter files This may help you to compare, understand & revert some or all values if you don't want to go back to stock with everything. Just make sure you have a save of your original file to revert back to & save a copy of it with a different name eg FGX Original & FGX edit 1, FGX edit 2 so you can revert back to what's working if needed. If you're unsure of what you're doing, take your time & only make minimal changes & test. Save the file at each edit/flash so you can revert back to the last save that was working & resume from there If you use the search function & put in key words eg boost by gear, you'll get filtered results where you might find more answers
  20. Here's a comparison between BF NA, Turbo & XR8. For each variant, every strategy checked shows the same values as below. The only thing in common is Feature "B". The XR8 has all except Feature "E" enabled. The XR8 also has a value for Pedal Range for Scaling where the others have no value. The BF XR8 uses the same ABS module as the BF turbo & neither have Feature "E" enabled. It's an interesting comparison which probably raises more questions than it answers. As far as testing goes, there's some things that I might switch & test while stationary & others will be left until I can find a dedicated test car.
  21. Thanks Jack, I'll have a closer look at the manual too. It does look like it might be related. Some strategies have very few features enabled while some have a lot.
  22. I've been asked and/or offered to help with a couple of BF na to turbo conversions that have resulted in ABS mismatches after the owners used a turbo pcm & didn't want to swap ABS modules. I was able to find a solution for a BF na Fairmont converted to turbo using a BF Turbo pcm, T56 & original na ABS/DSC module but the same settings don't work with the ZF6. We've tried changing a few other things that are different that we thought might work & I'm comparing BF na & turbo strategies, noting down differences that make some sense when looked at ie engine config, others that I consider to be possibilities & ones like the trans features we know nothing about. auF1641 is one setting that hasn't been tried yet but is set to 1 in every BF na ZF6 strategy I've looked at but is 0 in every BF ZF6 turbo strategy I've looked at. Possibly unrelated but it's just one of the differences & possibilities. I'm going to go back & look at the final T56 strategy again too in case there was something changed there that I have forgotten or missed. If I had a suitable car locally, I could try all the combinations till I could find a solution that works, if there is one. It gets a little more difficult when someone sends you their file or you give them options to try. You would know, it's hard to don't know if your instructions have been followed in every instance.
  23. Hopefully someone has some info for both of us. I've noticed that the scalars appear in BA & BF strategies but the couple of FG strategies I just looked at, there's no reference to them 🤷‍♂️
  24. Does anyone know what Trans (Australian Specific) Features "A" to "E" are? auF1052 Enables Feature "A" in transmission strategy auF1137 Enables Feature "B" in transmission strategy auF1065 Enables Feature "C" in transmission strategy auF2115 Enables Feature "D" in transmission strategy auF1641 Enables Feature "E" in transmission strategy.......this is the main one I'm looking for info on at the minute but it would be great to have info on all
