  1. @Bill a friendly FYI, average load spark filtered to 9.something will give you all the F6 strategies.
  2. Yeah the shift maps will bounce all over the place. The type of driver counter increments and decrements depending on how the car is driven. From what I can tell the type of driver counter then maps back via look up table(s) to a respective shift table. I've never bothered to work it out and just learnt to live with it and tune the main drive maps which from memory are 5, 6 and 10??? I can't remember exactly (I have it written down somewhere) but after you've logged it for months you get the gist of where it's going to be. I suppose if you really didn't care about getting the variable shift patterns for different scenarios you could just set every cell in ZF02832 5 and just tune that one pattern. Sounds a bit sacrilege to do that to a ZF but GM 4Lxx and 6Lxx only have 2 dominant (Pattern A & B) shift patterns and it's been like that for donkies years.
  3. Yeah, that's definitely a sizeable chunk of plastic lol. Would have to leave the fuse panel cover off. I use a ribbon style splitter cable. Pushed the factory OBD port back out of it's housing in the fuse panel. Then I have the obd port of the splitter cable pushed through the fuse panel cover handle opening. Makes life just that little more convenient. OBD II 16 Pin OBD Cable Male To Female Y Splitter Extension Cable (ozsmartthings.com.au)
  4. Agree it's a bit overwhelming when 10,000+ parameters are available for adjustment. Just need to break it down into little bits and stick to the basics / first principals.
  5. Post up a tune and log man, I'm keen to try and help out. Still learning the ZF's so may end up being hopeless to you. Presume box is in good nick? Give us a bit of info of what's been done. Create a new log layout with just the following channels. Less channels to make it log fast as possible. RPM Throttle Position Current Transmission Gear ID Of Used Shift Pattern Difference speed to synchronous speed Nominal value TCC speed difference (value) Pressure, on-coming clutch Transmission Input Shaft (Turbine) Speed Nominal value of the CRC slip time Pressure, off-going clutch Shift Pattern Throttle Input Value Transmission Oil Temperature TCC Pressure Flywheel Torque Transmission Output Shaft Speed Current Line Pressure
  6. Hahaha, it gets like that sometimes! I've been there in the past buying up bulk. For inside the cabin your box will be okie dokie. But it is nice to splash out a little more and go for the OEM look on certain projects once in a while. I've got a small milling machine with a DRO that should get the job done. Doesn't give a water jet finish but good enough with a bit of hand finishing.
  7. Ok, cool. It looks nice the board it designs. Hopefully this might give you an idea on enclosures. This is a Hammond Manufacturing 1455J1201 extruded aluminium enclosure and the connectors are AMP AT13 series. @Puffwagon
  8. @2X044 Random tangent question. What PCB design software are you using? For your interconnects to an IP rated enclosure, Deutsch DT series pcb header connectors are covid stock affected. AMP AT series is a similar offering which are still well stocked. Hammond Manufacturing make some really nice rugged IP rated enclosures that are priced very reasonable.
  9. OK, set lock values in all other gears to 8000.
  10. That's exactly how it should be. In fact I'd be the opposite and have rpm always armed and trigger straight off map. I'm waking up to the idea that e85 is being priced stupidly lately. When using it in a daily application where 95% is cruising, the water meth is looking like it would be a better proposition economically. Please keep it.
  11. Please keep it. Would like to go water meth myself. I would be using the MAP option.
  12. I love it how Paul at Injector dynamics describes Fords injector characterising method ... Yes, when the data is spot on. For us plebs learning GM with a MAF sensor and then a few tweaks to the VE (SD) table with ball park injector data, we can get things dialled in close enough that everything is fine. Even when switching between fuels, so long as the data is close enough just a minor fudge to the stoich table gets you back in the game. To bring Pauls comment back in to light, "as elegant and as simple as Fords method is," if you're switching between fuels, and you're miles off after adjusting stoich, then you have a full engineering problem to deal with. Almost makes the $1,000 for a China injector test bench seem good value for money.
  13. oh I love a good spreadsheet. Looking forward to the spark one. Question on that, are you also looking at the cold start adders as well? FG auF0210, 1 & 2. Nice job on the app. Have got new injectors coming so your timing couldn't be better! Legend
  14. All good man. Will get it sorted. Thanks anyway.
  15. For comparison purposes. Your original settings vs what I run now. --> I also zero out the in built gear based multiplier and adder 0319 & 0326 Along with a small tweak to the ECT table I don't generally see any adders in play on OL WG or CL Desired boost. -->
  16. Yeah, you're only supposed to hit the high deltas in 3002. That way it's exclusively for a gear change or other major torque management event.
  17. Once upon a time kiwi, moved here in 2007. Still fly the flag though. Invercargill aye, fucken gets cold down there bro! What's your ect get to on a normal day? Anything below 74 or something close to that going from memory it will reduce boost. auf3002 won't be in play during normal WOT runs unless you have torque management or knock freaking out in the background. I had mine set to -1.0 for a while. Did not cause any dramas. Still can't look over your logs but I'm keen to get to them. Cheers
  18. Quite possibly. Your ect has a big influence over desired boost and wastegate dc. When I can get to your logs I'm sure we'll be able to sort it out.
  19. I'll check your logs later but off the top of my head, what gear are you putting the new wg values into? Boost by gear only works up to 4th in a ZF FG. 5th and 6th use the values from 4th. If not that, then you'll have an adder at play. I can look at all that later when I get a chance if no one else gets back to you in the meantime. As a side note, I find open loop first and get boost perfect, then back fill desired boost from the histogram. Similar but opposite to how you do it.
  20. Check your PMs. I sent you a couple of files way back.
