  1. No they don't currently. Cough cough...
  2. I meant for this part of your comment.
  3. Where do I plug my headphones in? ?
  4. Here. Hopefully the link still works.
  5. Ok it didn't do it again. This time it uninstalled and reinstalled fine. The only thing that was a bit out of the ordinary was the desktop icon was blank for about 10 seconds before the pcmtec logo appeared.
  6. Probably. I'll just reinstall it and see if it happens again.
  7. Hi I noticed that a lot, but not all, of my taskbar icons were blacked out during the install. Perhaps it was because I have the pcmtec application pinned there?
  8. I never needed it on 98 but it definitely helped with straight e85.
  9. Try doing this below, or a variation thereof.
  10. Have you adjusted the cold base table? Also check that the open to closed loop delay is set for 30 seconds or more so it stays rich for long enough to warm up a bit without stalling.
  11. It's a fairly easy thing to check, providing that it's winter. I've halved the cranking spark from 10 to 5 on a different motor and it started better like that on e85, with 10:1 initial afr. You'll get several goes at it if you don't mind getting up at 4 or 5am and trying every half an hour with just a 20 second run time. Bust out the garden hose to cool it off too if needed.
  12. In hp tuners I changed the cranking lambda and it made it start easy but die straight away. I then found another table that had fuel enrichment coolant correction temp vs time or something, that was completely zeroed out. I added a value that I can't remember off the top of my head to decay for about 10 seconds and it fixed it. There may well be other stuff to change to make similar or better cold starts but I never played with it for long enough to go through everything. I know it's not the same as pcmtec but the same tables and scalars etc are still there, they are just labeled differently. Fwiw I've found you want lots of fuel and not much timing to get a car to start well on e85 when it's freezing cold.
  13. I'll just leave it here for anyone to use. Bear in mind that all cars are slightly different and you need to double check the tune with a wideband. I left the low slope slightly rich as it starts much better like that when it's freezing cold. Feel free to raise the low slope to 120 (less fuel) if you feel like it. 14. It's entirely possible mate but don't worry about what you can't change. ? I'll send you my data that worked in my falcon and transferred perfectly to my territory. I'll send it tomorrow.
  15. It won't keep stoich in open loop unless the fuel maps ask for it and the slopes are correct. To answer your question, it should be on the high slope near idle or not long after, depending on injector size. The low slope only accounts for injector non linear output at low pulse widths. Having it too high is a common cause of cold start issues. The break point dictates when the slopes swap from low to high, and this is tuned subject to some variables. There is some good info on the injector dynamics website.
  16. No. You set the entire base map to 0.82 lambda, then with the car in open loop you adjust the slopes until it idles at 0.82 lambda and stalls up or holds medium rpm at 0.82 lambda. Then you fix your base map and test it out. The slopes may need further adjusting but it won't be much.
  17. Pm sent. Also forgot to add that I use Kaspersky.
  18. The install went kinda funny. Where i was expecting a green load bar graphic, it was frozen and grey, then it finished up ok. It also wouldn't open the program until i restarted my pc. I did have a game crash earlier, without restarting it, so perhaps that was why.
  19. I just noticed the title of the thread.... PCMTED ftw ?
  20. No worries. I don't think it was a stupid question or people not wanting to share. The guys are very busy with their jobs, families and developing pcmtec, plus it's only the first day back after a long weekend. Maybe someone can comment further about how much the transmission shift torque reduction should be changed, for a stock drive train fg mk1.
  21. Copy the tables as per the first post but keep in mind this statement below. Either don't change it or only change it a little bit. Try tagging people with the @ symbol and then clicking/highlighting their name like this, @darcati, if you want them to be notified of your post.
  22. I've done this and it works quite well. I set the entire base map to 0.82 lambda and went from there. With no trans trunc you can stall it up in the driveway to check it.
  23. My guess would be a vacuum leak.
