I assume its mk1. no touch screen? new to fg's. I've not flashed any strategy to it but will try that today. Had not thought of that!

Same month & year should be the same. Make sure the PCM number is the same & you should ideally have the same strategy.

Have tactrix but also switchable elm327.

The switchable elm327 might work to see the other modules & do programming but I've seen a few people brick modules with them not getting the switching right. I usually advise to throw the manual switch elm327 in the bin & get an auto switching OBDLink EX cable. Delivery from Amazon AU is usually only a couple of days.

Has anyone seen any variation in voltage displayed in the logger vs a multimeter on the dlp terminals?

I am seeing 5.03 meter vs 4.93 on the logger... will need to check for difference from the innovate software vs the logger....

I haven't checked but might need to find some time to check

    Hey, Recently purchased an FG

FG1 or FG2? Have you reprogrammed the PCM with the correct strategy?

forscan isn't fully reading the pcm and so there's no programmable functions available to pair, I then disabled pats to at the very least make the car movable

What cable are you using with FORScan? Some cables eg Tatrix will only connect to modules on HS CAN. They won't connect to modules on MS CAN.
Other cheap cables, clones or cables with manual switches can be problematic.

    Hey Guys

Just having issues with a DLP, showing this.....984260155_DLPerror.PNG.874ec149adf91c010a99f4f849be2df9.PNG

So I thought I might have a dud DLP until I checked the other one.. (I ordered 2)

    Same story.

    Any Ideas??

    Editor Version 2.11.8175.27682

    Cheers Rob

Hi Rob, hopefully you don't have faulty devices. @Puffwagonhas mentioned previously in this thread that he had to reinstall drivers when his wouldn't connect.
Have you checked the DLP is being found by the laptop when plugged in? Check in Device Manager > Ports

Here's a link to drivers & a test application on the DLP website if needed https://www.dlpdesign.com/usb/io8.shtml

sorry i think you may have missed it im using a tactrix openport clone from ebay that ive used previously with no fault.

    That's very likely your problem.
If you go back & read some of my previous replies, I've pinned a link to another thread where @Roland@pcmtechas pointed out an issue with cheap clones & what to check. If this doesn't confirm it's the Tatrix cable, you could try it on another car at your own risk to confirm if it reads or not but I'd be suspecting your cable is faulty. I missed the clone comment

pcmtec still doesnt work. same error. checked the dtc's in forscan and the p2105 code showed up.

Are you saying that when you connect PCMTEC, it's throwing the P2105 code?

You still haven't answered the question about what interface you're using with PCMTEC.....it maybe that you have a fault with your interface.
If you genuinely want help, you need to answer this question.

when i try to connect pcmtec to the car it enables the immobilser as the car wont crank unless i ignition cycle. battery has 12.5 volts as well and forscan doesnt have an issue.

Providing an answer to what interface you're using may help answer the PCMTEC connection issue

What interface are you using to connect to the vehicle? Genuine Tatrix OpenPort 2.0, a clone or something else?

right im at a loss with this thing. ive been trying different things all morning. tried recovery mode with pcmtec and still get the same error code. ive cleared my dtc's with forscan and ive also gone into module calibration for pats and also reset the tcm, hem, bcm. i cant reset the pcm tho it says service procedure not supported.

find attached a dtc log file. now all of codes have always been on my car from when i bought it 2 years ago and i havent had an issue with aything.

    fuck this car sometimes.txt 6.26 kB · 1 download

Most codes aren't present at the time of the request so should clear. In FORScan, delete the vehicle profile, clear codes, close FORScan & reconnect to the vehicle to see what codes are "Present at time of request".

There doesn't appear to be other codes related to the P2105 so you could have a faulty PCM if further diagnosis doesn't rule it out.

I've than connected with forscan and done a dtc clear as i had some dtc's and noticed it says p1000 code for obd readiness and one ive never seen before flashing with pmctec p2105 code.

Ignore P1000 as it should clear after a full drive cycle. P2105 needs to be read in conjunction with other codes? Were there any other codes & was P2105 still present after clearing codes? If it is then further diagnosis is required.

recently upgraded a laptop and im trying to connect to my car after a few months of no connection to the pcm via obd. ive fired up pcmtec plugged the cable in and tried to read the vehicle information. The ignition cycles but i get an error message saying SECURITY_ACCESS Recieved: SERVICE_NOT_SUPPORTED.

Check the battery voltage. Ideally at rest it'll be about 12.5v. If it's 12v or lower, PATS could be stopping access.

What interface are you using to connect to the vehicle? Genuine Tatrix OpenPort 2.0, a clone or something else?

Hey guys , can someone just correct me if I'm wrong please , but I have a bf mk2 turbo the abs module died so I got another one the pump numbers match so I took the module off it and put it in , to program it do I just hook the old one up save the data off it and load it onto the replacement? Is that correct ? As it's booked in to get done but that's next week if I can get it done I can race this weekend.

I’ve recently found a couple where the pump numbers have matched but the programming has been different & doesn’t have the turbo As-Built or turbo variants. They also won’t accept the turbo As-Built.

If you can check the donor vehicle TearTag of the vehicle, you’ll need to match one of the numbers below to know you can then change variant if it doesn’t match
eg XR6T or XR8 ute TearTag will show 09 02 04…..highlighted line in image.

I recently changed my trans cooler and topped up with Penrite BMV.

Did the slipping start after changing to BMV or was it doing it prior? I've seen a few that have started slipping after changing to BMV. The Gulf Western Syn TS LV is a good option.

The seals leaking/bleeding off pressure is common & if you're going to change the fluid, do the seals at the same time.

How often does this happen? I'll hit up Invision Community support. If you can reproduce it (probably not but if you can then they will be able to fix it) you can right click in chrome "Inspect" Go to the network tab, click preserve log. Wait for the problem to occur. Then right click "save all as HAR" and send it to us privately (as it has some of your login details in there) and we can send it straight to Invision. They usually patch it within days if they can reproduce it.

It is possible related to leaving the forum open, sleeping your computer, opening the same browser and clicking reply/post before its refreshed. We had issues with that and seeing a random JSON error which they did fix after we reported it.

Hey @Roland@pcmtec I usually use FireFox as a web browser & as you have suggested, it is possible that it is related to leaving the forum open....I'm guilty. The other theory I had was it may be due to internet drop outs which is why I haven't worried about it too much something I've been fighting Telstra/Bigpond over for years.

About 2 weeks ago, I installed Starlink Internet & gave Telstra /Bigpond the boot. It's amazing what a difference it makes having over 200Mbps download & 30-50Mbps upload. So far, I have only recorded connection issues when firmware updates are happening. They are usually about 3am so it doesn't count 🤣
I don't recall having the issue in the last 2 weeks so I'll monitor & send you some info if occurs again.

Fark me I just wrote up some hectic info for you guys about na e85 tuning etc and the farken forum logged me out and lost the post. I ain't farken writing all that out again 🤬

@PuffwagonI know how frustrating it can be 🤣, I've had this happen a couple of times now. I usually know it's happened when I go to paste an image & it gives an error so I copy what I have written & then log back in & paste. The other thing that is a tell tale sign is if you have all the posts from the page showing in the post you are typing up.

ok guys i hope someone can give me some answers { i have another cluster i wont to put in my car because the 1 in there is crap any help with answers would be great

You're probably better off going to the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/australianforscanusersgroup
    Add some decent details eg

    1. your car is a MK1 FG XT, MK1 FG XR6T, MK2 F6, MK2 GT?
    2. how may km on your cluster?
    3. the replacement cluster is from?
    4. how many km on the replacement cluster?
    5. what is wrong with your cluster?....someone might know how to fix it or make it better.
    6. what are you trying to achieve by replacing the cluster?

Some cluster/vehicle combinations are easier swaps than others. Some require expertise above what most people have. There are a few people here who are also in the Facebook group who have very good knowledge on FG programming @Whiteford@jakka351 . Have a look at the "Featured", do a search or read through posts on the group page & if you can't find your answer, then ask.

if we change the strategy because someone has set it up wrong previously.. will it have to be licensed again?

If someone else licenced the vehicle, you can't do anything without licencing it.
You can return it to stock for 1 credit.
It will cost 3 credits if you want to return to stock & tune it.

Hey guys just downloaded a tune file from a BA and it said it was a custom OS and will take 5 credits to open and tune, how do i tell what custom OS it is and is there a list of custom OS's some where to look at to see what there is availble.

Check both the OSID & strategy match too. I came across a BA a while ago that had mismatched OSID to strategy & it was seen as a custom OS, resulting in some tools not recognising the pcm & it not being able to be read by anything but PCMTEC. It may not be your problem but something to be aware of.

I'm guessing that someone has selected "write calibration" instead of write entire using another tool eg HP resulting in the mismatch. OSID is HAAMG, strategy is HAANCG4. PCMTEC shows it as PCMFMG4
I've attached a copy so you can see what had happened with OSID & Strategy.

Did this result in the car actually being fixed? Or does it still randomly fault?

I was coming back to do an update on this but you beat me to it. It was driving perfectly & after about a week it has started to display the same symptoms. Prior to that, it would randomly fault every day. Sometimes after being driven for 10-20 minutes & other times at first startup.
It has a faulty pcm. Ive seen 3 FG's with similar problems, two ended up being a faulty PCM, both logged a P1260 code & the third a faulty IC. With the IC, no P1260 code was ever logged.
