  1. Did you change both of the timers? Eg auF2504 and auF0162 ? If you can change both timers then upload the file with a log here. Also if you can log TQ_SOURCE when the cylinder cut out occurs. That log layout file attached should be good for both logs.
  2. Your log is missing TQ_SOURCE. This should show you the torque source during the cylinder cut.
  3. It looks like the car goes closed loop at the 10 minute mark from your log. That is too coincidental as 10 minutes ~ 600 seconds. I think the units are not actually seconds on some of those tables, they are actually clock tick which are an arbitary time value based off the microprocessor clock. Can you just put a huge number like 100000000 into those time delays? Eg anywhere that has 36000
  4. @effxr6t can you do another log showing the issue with the following layout file loaded. I need to see the open loop flag and the o2 volts. open loop layout.tlo
  5. You'll need to upgrade, enthusiast is not designed for that kind of job and does not have many of the mappings you need. It is only meant to be for very basic modifications.
  6. If you use the professional/workshop version of the software you can enter in a strategy into the stock file wizard. Stock file wizard is documented here
  7. Yes a compare and copy or taking an original turbo cal is a good way to start. You'll need the NA speed density tables however and to remove the IMRC runners otherwise your fueling will be out. Also make sure your injector scalars match the injectors that have been installed. By enabling turbo logic it will automatically switch over to using the turbo map sensor settings.
  8. We try to help where possible with tuning on the forums however our official stance will remain "no tuning advice". There are two major reasons for this. Liability. If we give advice and someones breaks an engine then we are liable and our insurance does not cover this. The software is a tool, we do not teach people how to tune, they need to already have experience or be undertaking training. If the expectation is we are to help people learn then there is simple not enough hours in the day and this is not a sustainable business model. Our competitors take the same stance. Haltech on the other hand do offer a higher level of support if needed, they also charge $3-4k per car so this is feasible for them. We do not charge anywhere near this amount hence the support we officially offer is software related, eg how to use the compare tool, how to use the custom os wizard, datalogging, value files etc, but not specific tuning advice. We are all tuners in our spare time however, so we do like to help the community especially with HOWTO Guides, but we don't want people to have the expectation that we offer one on one tuning advice beyond how to use the software. One other thing to remember is we develop flash tuning software for existing Ford strategies, we don't write the control strategy and have to reverse engineer how it works. This means even we may not know how items work unless we put many hours into reverse engineering the control background. In most cases we can figure it out, but we are trying to absorb what was developed by likely 100s of engineers over a period of 20 years with zero documentation. This is incredibly difficult to do and there will be omissions from time to time or edge cases we are not aware of, eg there might be a reason why closed loop still enables in your case that we do not know the answer to. I will however look into your case in more detail.
  9. Yes it was reported and is fixed, fix will be uploaded today. Thanks for letting us know. I will go over your logs shortly to see if I can see what the problem is.
  10. no closed loop targeting 1.0 lambda with no trimming.teclog I've just followed the instructions and the vehicle targets 0.93 lambda at all times with no O2 trimming on our test BF Falcon. Here is a screenshot of the log showing 0.93 lambda at 140 seconds, I left it idling for 5 minutes with the same result Here is the log and the files. 3 tunes PCMFEGA as read - no closed loop.tecPCMFEGA as read - no closed loop - base fuel 0.93.tecPCMFEGA as read - closed loop enabled.tec 3 Log files no closed loop targetting 0.93 lambda with no trimming.teclogcold start open loop log transitioning into closed loop.teclog Here are screenshots showing the values that we changed. Some others which should not be necessary but shown anyway if you can try these. auF12158 heater hardware present array
  11. Hi Brayden we did see your email. This is out side of the software technical support that we offer hence the delay in replying. Conversion cars are especially difficult which are more often than not electrical or mechanical issues which has primarily driven the decision to not offer any tuning support. We do offer support on the forums where possible but we don't want this to be the expectation. This is also a very odd scenario where you are running a SOHC AU motor with a BF PCM which was never its intended use. This aside we will have a look at it when time permits.
  12. Not sure the best place to put this. But for now here are some flags you can datalog to diagnose why a car is in open loop Driver demand: MID126793 == 1 WOT Open Loop Demanded If any of the following are true ol_exc_flg will be set to 1 which also forces open loop er_ful_req == 1 Engine Running On-Demand testing requires OL MID31448 == 1 Intrusive EGO monitor open loop. This only occurs if abnormal switching is seen on the O2 circuit. Eg lean for an extended period of time. I believe this only occurs for V8s if one bank doesnt match the other bank MID63647> auF2504 Extended decel open loop MID69489 > auF12184 Cylinder cut out (rev limit etc) MID63792 == 1 Output state control of LAMBSE (OBD2 tester has requested it) P0152 HEGO Overvoltage P0155 HEGO Malfunction
  13. Can you take a video and send us a teclog file showing that they don't read? Send it via PM or to support@pcmtec.com Can you also save your tec layout file, then remove all parameters except for those two (using the delete key) and let us know if they do start reading?
  14. Add more decimals with the decimal button.
  15. There is a new 1.22 beta on the website. This is almost finished our QA process and will become the 1.22 final release in the next week or so. So far there are a few quirks left however no breaking bugs that we have found. Once we finish QA we will do a short write up of the new features and improvements. In short we have added the following: ZF Datalogging (templates need a lot of work still, everything is mapped however the units and descriptions are still unknown for a large percentage of items). Configurable units Configurable scales Auto range improvements Auto re-connect on key cycle/flashing etc. Massively number of bug fixes and performance improvements in the back end. Poll rate of single rate DMRs (eg when you poll more than 15) doubled. Can be viewed using column chooser -> then selecting "Rate" this will give you the number of updates per second. Known issues which will be resolved before the final release: Changing units mid datalog causes a temporary spike in values Bulk unit change from the menu resets axis min/max ranges. Auto connect and then immediately key cycling causes no data to be shown and a manual reconnect is needed. Page up/down on cam angles increments too slowly. Fixed by manually changing the axis at least once. A few quirks with auto-range Please press the shortcuts button to see a list of keyboard shortcuts. You can now configure ranges by right clicking on the axis as well. This release should be a HUGE improvement on what you are using now. If you download it please give us any feedback you have, anything you believe is a bug please report.
  16. There isn't much in them stock, with an exhaust and intake you can run a bit more timing to crack the ~190rwkw mark if the engine is in good condition. Cam shafts will see 220-230rwkw. For a burnout car skinny tyres and 4.4 diff gears will be your friend.
  17. The issue is resolved in the new beta which we are testing. Hopefully due out next week if all goes well.
  18. Enthusiast level should give you approximately the same level of control as HPTuners. If you want to compare the different versions download the demo and open the different files, we have a file from each version. You can also open the workshop files then use the View -> PCM -> Enthusiast/Professional/Workshop check boxes to contrast which parameters are added in the different versions. Finally you can always upgrade from Enthusiast -> Professional for the difference in price. There is an instant upgrade product you can purchase on the website to active it.
  19. 11.5 should be a good target with some room for error. I have no idea what you've done to your boost levels to get them higher than stock. A datalog of cam timing, wastegate duty, spark, final lambda, torque source, throttle would tell the full story. You probably have room to improve with the cam timing and making sure you aren't getting any throttle closure due to torque sources.
  20. There are a few that are different auF11468 CAM offset with respect to engine pip. auF1217 Number of PIP's per engine revolution_ 2 -> 4 cylinder (2 PIP/REV) _ 3 -> 6 cyli There are some other hard coded variables such as: Top dead centre angle: 60 for 6 cyl 50 for the 5.0L v8, unsure about the 5.4 Degrees per tooth: 720 / 36 Number of teeth: 36 Number of cylinders: 6/8 These are similar to the TMAP slopes in that they are not scalars but rather hard coded into the assembly. We could map these but it would be a fair bit of work. Any reason you want to modify these?
  21. Try setting the min/max on/off temps for the high and low speed fans out of range. It would be unusual to turn them off so there is likely no master switch.
  22. Datalog your cam timing on the run. A lot of people run open loop boost but forget to zero the vct adders which kills power. You are also way too lean at peak torque.
  23. Got a photo of the dyno plot with boost and afr?
