  1. The actual value is what is important, so that it never reaches underboost. I will have a look when I'm on a pc tomorrow.
  2. Can you show me your desired boost table and your underboost threshold
  3. Make the under boost threshold negative and the overboost one positive. Or vice versa if they already are. Make sure you make them very big values otherwise when you get an overboost it will give you 100% duty lol
  4. That is how the PID controller controls the boost. You have to disable closed loop boost control to achieve that. Is there any reason why you want to do that?
  5. When you say missing what do you mean? Can you take a screen shot? As in the values are 0? Just press the + button to increase the number of decimal places visible. Once you change it, it will persist after restart. 0.66 which is due out soon has a higher number of decimal places by default.
  6. Very interesting. Thanks for posting that up.
  7. HAEK4PE / BBPE this is apparently a 2014 F6, though no guarantees that is correct. You can also look at the Sprint calibrations (HAER1UB), these are the highest end falcon that was sold afaik.
  8. Do you have a catch code/tear tag from the vehicle or strategy? Without that there is no real way to know which is which. So to answer your question, probably, but we can't easily tell you which strategy it is. You can simply plug in various strategies one by one and compare them though. What are you trying to find out?
  9. Post up a list of ones you are interested in and we can tell you which ones are the same.
  10. If you set it very low, you should be able to do real world testing without any safety issues. Just make sure you log when it occurs so you can make sure your calcs are correct. Let us know how you go.
  11. You can do it with all cars, but you require a custom operating system. They don't do boost by gear from the factory.
  12. Desired boost is in inHg not psi, so you will need to convert that. You can easily test it once you have it right. Eg set desired boost to be very very low, and check if the car goes into torque reduction (can datalog the torque source as well). edit: Remember that base atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi as well, so you need to offset your figures.
  13. Can you send us an email with the original file and an unlicensed read of the new PCM? We should be able to help you out. Cheers
  14. Which vehicle? Only the sprint OS has boost by gear from the factory. If you want to trial our custom operating system which has boost by gear and have our workshop version of the software send us an email with the strategy and catchcode and we can arrange it for you. Our custom operating system can do boost vs gear or boost vs kph. If you have an FG Mk2 you can simply flash in Sprint strategy. Have a read of these two threads:
  15. See auF0309 for how much torque is reduced in overboost (I would leave this enabled in case a hose pops off). Torque reduction will be both fuel and spark depending on how your torque source table is set up. Then setup your desired boost table to be maybe 10% above what you are generating in cold weather. Once the overboost threshold is hit auF0296 this will reduce torque by cutting spark, fuel and eventually shutting the throttle completely. These features will save your engine so definitely worth leaving them on and testing that they work.
  16. Hello. When using an external boost controller you can leave everything enabled, just simply disable the DTC high and low limits. Check out these parameters: set auF2279 and auF2150 to "No Error" to disable the DTC. You can also set the fault time filter constant as well.
  17. The license is locked to the serial number so not easily. What is wrong with the PCM? It is not straight forward to swap it out as all of the pats security system will stop the vehicle from running. Have you already swapped the pcm? What vehicle?
  18. I would start by checking your fuel pressure, otherwise you will be chasing your tail. You need to confirm the data is correct as well otherwise you will just be guessing. You can probably get it running OK by guessing but I wouldn't recommend anyone do that. What does your wide band say when idling in open loop? Make sure you disable closed loop otherwise it will mask the fact the injector data is off. There is a thread on here showing you how to do that.
  19. Can you post up your high slope, low slope, breakpoint, dead time, what fuel pump and what regulator you at using? Bonus if you can measure your base fuel pressure as well. Also are your injectors brand new and a matched set? Eg that data is definitely for the set you have? First things are your base fuel pressure may not be the same as that data sheet. Your dead time may be completely wrong as well. Loud pops suggests it is very lean. Edit: base fuel pressure for an xr6t is 400kpa / 58psi so you need to get data for that pressure.
  20. PCMTEC Editor Version 0.70 has now been released as of 29/7/18 To download please login then visit https://www.pcmtec.com/downloads This page is only available for customers who have purchased the full version of the software (Enthusiast, Professional and Workshop). Tablet Flash Only Package: The 0.70 release now includes the Tablet Flash Only software for workshops who would like to sell a remote tuning solution to their customers. The flash only tablet software (will run on a Laptop or PC as well) is a limited software package to allow a customer to read and write tune files remotely. An example is as a workshop your customer is at the drags and would like a different shift map, in this case you can export a locked file and send it to them remotely to flash into their vehicle. We will be selling packages with an unbranded Tactrix J2534 Cable, an 8" Windows 10 tablet and associated USB cables to Workshops who would like to sell this package. The customer can alternatively supply their own tablet/laptop and cable if they wish and simply buy the flash only software. The preliminary workshop pricing for the tablet package will be $450 ex. If you wish to supply your own hardware the software only package for the customer will be $150 ex Once we have datalogging completed the tablet will also be able to datalog. To use the flash only package follow this guide: COMING SOON New Features: Tables now have multi line graphs to allow you to easily see holes in spark tables. You can drag these tables as well to modify the table. Parameter Files Parameter files (also know as value files in other software) allow you to export and import individual parameters from a tune into another. To use parameter files simply enable the checkboxes, select the parameters you would like to export and create a .param file. The parameter files export parameters based on their ID. So you can easily make up a set of files to do various tasks, eg disable/enabled closed loop fueling. Rescale spark load axis/tables etc. When creating parameter files you can use this option via the right click menu to easily export all changes made to a tune. "Only Show Parameters That Are Different To Stock", once you click this you can then press "Select All For Parameter Export" this would export all changes you made to a tune. Improvements When opening a parameter from the compare view, the navigator auto expands to show where the parameter was located. Maths data entry toolbar is now persistent (same value remains) across multiple views. Added option to "Open Parameters In Same Window" that been added to stop multiple windows stacking up. You can enable/disable this from the View menu. Default floating decimal places have been increased from 2 to 6. This will stop low/high slope and deadtime from showing up as 0 on fresh installs. You can still adjust the number of decimal places using the +/- buttons at the top right of the screen. If you make changes to a file, don't save it, then press flash write the changes will now be written to the vehicle without requiring a save. Previously it prompted you to save the file which could be annoying if you were making lots of small changes. Diff mode can now be selected at all times, this will take you to the stock compare item and show the differences. Differences can now be edited, eg setting all values to 0 in diff mode will revert the table to the original values. Files can now be tuner locked by setting the OSID to "PCMTE", this will stop any PCMTEC user from being able to read/edit the tune unless they licensed it originally. This will also stop our competitors software from being able to read or scan as well. Page Up + Page Down will now scroll through the history items in tables. Added scroll bars to the flashing log so it will display on very small laptop screens. Added new icons to change history to indicate functionality. Added greyed items to right click menu on navigator when disabled so that you can see what options are possible. Added checkboxes to compare view. Flash write log automatically close after pressing OK on a successful write. When opening a table/scalar from the change history screen it now also expands the navigator to show you where it can be found. Stock files from the "Stock Files" can now be edited, if saved they will be overwritten next time "Checking for updated stock files" occurs. Bug Fixes Fixed issue for clients with a large number of licenses timing out during template downloads. If you selected multiple cells in a table by dragging right to left or up to down and performed a paste, it would paste from the first selected cell into the wrong grid. Now it will paste from the top left selected cell always. Pressing +/- with nothing in the scalar maths field would cause the editor to crash. Using the file merge wizard and merging from file 1 -> file 2 and saving file 2 would save file 1. This is now fixed. When using the return to stock wizard and making an new file from a catch code, if you were to save the file it would show the incorrect file name in the recent files history. Added stock column to the scalar list view so you can easily compare to stock. Reading a car with no VIN would cause the editor to crash. This is fixed. Auto scroll of navigator when expanding groups with a large number of items would not always expand correctly on small screens. Custom operating systems now allow "return to stock" and show stock values in the compare history. Interpolating 1D tables could crash in some circumstances. Right clicking on a single cell and pressing return to stock would do nothing as the cell was not "selected". A single right click now selects the cell so that "return to stock" will function as expected. "Close Compare" file did not function. It now closes all loaded compare files. EULA would occasionally show an error in the log after downloading on a fresh install.
  21. These are the tables that I said was zero'd out. It appears it has real numbers in some strategies however it is my understanding it is not used.
  22. Here are all the knock sensor tables/scalars. This is the main table that shows how much ignition retard can be commanded.
  23. It is very sophisticated. Have a read of the patent that explains how it works. https://patents.google.com/patent/US4376429 There is a whole section of tables related to knock. When I'm in front of a pc I'll list the IDs for you. Here is the patent that explains the signal processing side of things https://patents.google.com/patent/US5535722A/en
  24. They are all zero'd out and afaik are not used in the Aussie falcons. You could try enabling it by putting some timing values into the tables and seeing if it will adjust to the ignition you have entered. Most people just tune them for 98 and then leave the stock 10-14 degrees of ignition retard on knock there. That way even 91 fuel will still be "ok" as the system will pull the timing. You will still kill the ring lands eventually though as the PCM will continue to try and add timing until it detects knock, this will happen regularly so the engine will be experiencing extremely mild knock fairly regularly. Instead of killing the motor with too much timing on boost, it will kill it by knocking at cruise and low load. I'm unsure if enabling this functionality would result in a better outcome or not.
  25. Reading does not affect anything in the PCM. If the vehicle won't start after a read simply unplug the cable. It won't start if it is still in test mode (enabled during a read or a write). There is no way for a read to erase or remove the software from the PCM.
